Naruto's POV
I knew I was gonna blow it, blow what? I knew I was gonna have to be gone sooner or later. Guess it was sooner.
I was running with my eyes closed until I hit a tree. It hurt as I rubbed my aching head, I looked around at the forest I was in. I guess I was right, they do live outside civilization.
I looked behind me and realized that I was not deep in the forest. I could still see the cave I was in....or another cave. I saw rocks headed in the sky. 'Wait a minute!' I walked out to the beginning of the forest and looked up at the open sight.
It was a huge mountain. I couldn't even see the sky from this angle. It had holes going through it everywhere. Those were the caves. 'It's amazing. This is where they lived. There has to be more people. A whole lot more. A whole clan. But I've never heard of a clan that lives in mountain cave unless... I've found a whole new hidden clan!'
My attention then turned to a sign that was nailed to a tree. It read,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Forest Of Trial'
When your vision is blurred,
Search for what can be heardThe sound that calls most to you,
Follow it to find someone newFind the source and fight to the death,
Now you are no longer by yourselfThe second your lives feel as if they are done,
Then you two will finally become one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'What the?!'
'What do you mean 'fight to the death'?!'
'What kind of the stuff is this?!'
I almost had to stop myself from laughing. 'There ain't no way this stuff is real! What lame-o spent all their time making this stupid sign.'
I walked into the forest with my hands behind my head looking for the best place to set up camp. Not even 3 minutes later, fog started to spread through the forest.
After a few more minutes, I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face.
'Aww man. I'm just gonna have to wait it out'
I sat down by a tree I felt and waited until the fog cleared. 'Why did this fog appear out of nowhere?' I thought to myself. 'Does it have something to do that sign? I do remember it saying something about blurred vision. So, it meant fog? Maybe that sign wasn't so useless after all. What was next?'
I sat in silence for a few minutes thinking about what to do next and the fog never cleared up. 'Ugh! Maybe I should try to find my way back'
I got up and went back into the direction I came from. At least I thought I was. I never saw the end of the forest. Heck! I couldn't even see the trees. Ow! And that's why I keep hitting them.
"I'm totally lost!" I yelled out loud. I sat on the ground and tucked my head in my knees. 'If wasn't such an idiot then maybe I wouldn't be lost right now. Maybe that's how I lost my memories and got hurt.'
"Ugh! Why am I always messing stuff up!?" I yelled and then put my head on my knees and turned the other way. Not like I can see anything anyway. Fog!
I started to cry. 'I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm stuck here. I wish Sachi was here...she would get me through this place...just like she did in the cave' I chuckled at my stupid thought. 'She hates me, they all do.' I tucked my head back in my knees and decided to go to sleep.
