-Naruto's POV-
Ever since that evening, I didn't go to my dad when I would be bruised and beaten by the villagers as he would never do anything about it. I would walk home and try to sneak into my room before my mom saw my bruises.
When I was younger, I was hardly able to sneak as well as I can now since it has been 2 years. I've started to become a ninja at the academy. I knew some of the kids because they were children of the clan heads, so I met them at clan meetings but...we never really talked. Their parents always seem distant from me.
At the meetings, I would sometimes mention becoming the Hokage. My dad would smile but not so everyone would see, as the others would look at me with disgust.
I've always wanted to become the Hokage, maybe this way people will see me as a great ninja and not... a... what was it? A demon, monster, murderer? All of those things.
Last year, I was in a class full of villagers' kids. I didn't mind but when my dad found out he made sure it got changed this year. That year was a trial year that only clan head kids were in. Just to prepare them more than the others, so they weren't hurt.
Today is my first day in the class with the other clan head kids. I'm kind of nervous.
I put on my usual orange outfit and smacked my goggles on my face as I airplane zoomed down the stairs to my mom in the kitchen.
"Mommy!" I cried like a little kid as I hugged her from behind. But instead of her usual good morning, she started coughing and coughing. She wouldn't stop. "Mom, are you alright?!"
She couldn't say anything when my dad flew down the steps and held her shoulders. I was already scared but I was terrified when I saw blood leaking from her mouth. "Mom!"
I grabbed a towel to give to her, but my dad pushed me back. "Get back, Naruto!" Anbu appeared by his side. "Get her to the hospital, quick!"
One Anbu picked mom up and they both disappeared in a flash. My dad pushed his hair back and sighed deeply before picking up his keys to walk out.
"Wait Dad, is Mom gonna be okay?" I asked before he walked out.
"Yeah, just get to school." He said, mummured. Before he left, I grabbed his arm. "Can you walk with me to the academy?"
He sighed again. "You aren't a little kid anymore, Naruto. You are old enough to go to the academy by yourself."
"But mom was gonna go with me, but she can't because...-" I started, then pausing, not knowing what to say because I didn't know what was wrong with her.
"Naruto, I can't. I have to work."
"Aren't you at least going to go to the hospital with Mom and see if she is alright?"
"I have Anbu to report to me on her health."
"But being there with her is-"
-Minato's POV-
"But being there with her is-"
"Naruto!" I yelled to stop Naruto's response. When I turned to him, I could see the startled expression that scarred his face. I sighed again.
"Look Naruto, as the Hokage I have to take care of the people of this village," I said, then left leaving the door open. I soon looked behind me to Naruto jumping from rooftop to rooftop in the direction of the academy. But I didn't hear him say...
-Naruto's POV-
"But what about taking care of your family?"
