"That's not fair!" Klee flopped onto the ground and gave a loud wail. Wren giggled at the little girl's antics, hiding her smile behind a fan of cards. Beside her, Kaeya looked happy, albeit confused, having just placed down a brightly coloured card, a blocky "+4" written on the corner. Klee pouted as she reached for the deck, her frown deepening with every card she pulled. 1, 2, 3, and 4. "Dumby," Wren laughed. Kaeya blinked in confusion, his head tilted to the side like an innocent puppy. She could no longer see the confident, charismatic man she had met just weeks before in the child in front of her. When they turned back, she would be sure to tease him. "You won! You're supposed to say uno!" Kaeya's eyes widened. "Oh," He whispered, realizing that he had placed his last card. He paused before a moment, before brightening. "Uno!" She laughed. "It's too late for that," Wren rolled her eyes playfully. "Let's play another round!" Together, they gathered up the cards, and she did the honors of rainbow shuffling the deck. Just as they had finished setting up the new game, the door opened behind them, to reveal a very frazzled Jean."Oh, I'm so sorry you three!" The acting grand master knelt down to their level, an apolegetic look on her face. "The fatui delegation just notified us, they've just arrived at the front gates. I... don't want to leave you guys here without supervision, so I need you to come with me to greet them, okay? Please?" Klee thought for a moment, tapping her chin with her tiny finger before saying, "Will you buy Klee and her friends fisherman's toast then?" She asked, a sweet smile on her face. "Klee-" Wren scolded, huffing. A small smile lifted on Jean's face. "...Alright. But only if you behave..." Cheers. Free food. "Yay!" With that, the three of them were ushered out of the room, each sent off with a bundle of clothing.
Wren patted down her blond tresses as she stood in front of a full-length mirror. Noelle stood beside her, her hands clasped to her chest. "You look so pretty Miss Wren!" She said softly. "Do you... like it?" Wren twirled, the fabric of the layered white skirt flaring around her. It was a simple Mondstatian dress, with slightly more embellishments than casual wear. She lifted the skirt and fingered the intricate lace sewn onto the hem, admiring the cute sparrows and dandelions embroidered onto the cotton. "Yes," She replied. "It's nice. Thank you Lady Noelle!" The girl gave a small gasp, smiling happily as a soft flush dusted her cheeks a pale pink. "It's... nothing." "Oh yeah!" Wren reached into the pile of her clothing beside her, pulling out a slightly wilted flower crown. She carefully put it on her head. "Look! Kaeya made it for me!" Noelle's eyes widened, a palm pressed to her mouth in surprise. "...Kaeya?" Wren giggled, speeding out of the room and leaving the maid to her own thoughts.
She passed Klee on the way, dressed in an adorable outfit not quite different then her usual uniform, but paired with a straw sun hat instead of her red clover cap. Together, the two of them headed towards the front doors, where Kaeya stood anxiously twiddling his thumbs. "Uncle Kaeya!" Klee sprinted towards him, almost toppling them both over as she embraced him. "Oh... hi Klee..." He turned towards her, doing a double take when he saw her. Wren smiled, fisting her hands in her skirt and swishing the fabric around her legs as she said, "Pretty, right?" Kaeya's tanned skin flushed, but he nodded in agreement. Wren turned. "Alright, then, let's go!" A strangled noise came from Kaeya's throat as he shakily extended a hand towards her. "Wait- I-" "Oh, thank Vanessa, there you are! Come on, they've been waiting for half an hour already!" Ah. So maybe it hadn't been a good idea to ask for that hair ribbon. Noelle had to turn the whole room upside down before she found one in the exact shade of blue they wanted. To match her eyes. "...Did you three hear me?" The three of them shared a look, before bolting for the exit as fast as their tiny legs could take them. Jean was nice, but angry Jean was a nightmare.

Will he stop staring at me? Wren couldn't help but feel annoyed as she stood beside the Fatui diplomat's red, black, and gold carriage. It was overly extravagant, and she couldn't help but wonder how they didn't manage to get robbed on the journey. Or maybe they had, and she had just missed the splatters of blood on the painted. Wood. Wren craned her neck to check. Nevertheless, it still didn't change the fact that Childe was very openly staring at her, his eyebrows slightly furrowed from where he stood a few feet away from her. Ekatarina spoke to Jean in hushed tones, while he stood threateningly beside her, seemingly allowing his secretary(?) to do the talking for him. Wren turned and glanced to Kaeya, who had a strange look on his face. He squinted at Childe as if analyzing him very carefully, a small frown set on his face as he continued to stare. It was the most negative emotion she had ever seen him express towards another person, at least- in this form, as a child. What had gotten into him?
