Y/N began her day by lying. Y/N knew that Childe was too important in the archon quest for the event not to happen- and Wren hadn't returned yet, so she would have to act on her own for now. The bottom line was, Childe's meeting with the traveler had to happen. However, there was really no way for them to meet by coincidence, given how huge Liyue city was. That meant the only way for Lumi to encounter Childe was to fake an event of her own. She giggled under breath as she raised a quill to the paper in front of her. Ajax better answer to her letter, and quickly- or she'll smack him.
Ajax! Let's meet in the square at twelve! No questions. Just come, okay? I know you're slacking off anyway, so no excuses!
Hehe,
Y/N :b
Y/N lifted the paper, her eyes skimming over the scribbled words quickly before nodding to herself. She folded it quickly, sealing it away inside an envelope with a bright blue wax seal. Then, she folded the envelope into a crane as she walked over to the window. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
"Now..." She whispered. "Lift your wings and let the wind guide you." The crane in her hands glowed blue. Then, its wings flapped once before taking off from her palms, setting off until it was a mere speck in the sky. Y/N sighed. Well, that was one done. As if on cue, the door creaked open behind her. Y/N turned around as Lumi peeked her head into the inn room. "Y/N? Good morning! I wanted to say hi before I head out!" She smiled brightly. Ah, what a sweet child. Y/N smiled back, closing the window behind her and stepping towards the desk to clear away the loose sheets of paper there. "Good morning Lumi... off to do commissions? You really are a hard worker." Lumine nodded happily, pumping her fists up and down. "Yup! That's me, the hard working traveler! Besides, if I get to know the folks here, I can ask more questions about my brother." Y/N nodded, sitting on the bed and running her hands over the cotton sheets. "Mhmm... sounds good." She paused, reaching under the bed frame and pulling out her boots. "What commissions are you doing today?" Lumine opened the door wider. "Oh. I'm investigating some ley line monoliths. Why? Do you wanna come with me?" Y/N fought back a smile. Perfect. That was the first step of the archon quest. It was a good thing, then- that she had sent that letter. "Unfortunately, I can't. I forgot I made another appointment! And I also forgot, I promised to meet another friend too- so i can't meet him either. But lucky you, he's interested in the ley line monoliths too! So he can help instead!" Lumine stared at her, looking slightly doubtful. "...Huh? Your... friend?"
Y/N smiled reassuringly. "Oh don't worry, I trust him." Ha. Aha ha... "I told him I'll meet him at the town square at around twelve in the afternoon... so, just tell him that I couldn't make it and to help him with the commission. Believe me, if you tell him you know me, he'll do it." Lumine gave her one last look, before shrugging. "Okay," She said in a singsong voice, walking out the door. "But only because you bought me food." Y/N laughed out loud, nodding. "Food is the key to your heart, good to know. Well then, good luck!" Lumine gave one last wave, before disappearing. Y/N smiled to herself, leaning backwards on the bed and grinning. And that makes two. She pumped her fist in the air. Maybe she would finally have a day off! Let's go explore Liyue city!

Ah... what was this situation? Y/N stood awkwardly in front of a small pawn shop. She gave the shop owner an unimpressed look. The man was short and stout, small beady eyes and a mouth that was tilted in a small, almost undetectable smirk. He seemed to be holding back a laugh as he rubbed his hands together. She scoffed, and turned to her companion. This guy was supposed to be an archon! Did he not know how to judge people's character? Y/N gave the shop owner one last glare. Her gaze flared, and the man shrunk back, ever so slightly. Yeah, that's right. Can you feel my spite? My animosity? You cheating old man! What was she even doing here anyway? Zhongli had spotted her on the street earlier, buying hairpins- and called her over for her opinion on incense sticks. So, here she was.
