Lumine Viatrix.

Lumine was the traveler. Not a traveler, the traveler. Ever since her escapade in Mond, her reputation had apparently preceded her- even people in Liyue knew her name. Everywhere she walked, she would always find a curious set of eyes peering at her strangely. It was still a bit jarring, being the center of attention- but with fame also came suspicion... maybe that was why the millionth was so quick to single her out.

She was quite used to the attention though. Ever since she was young, her golden hair and foreign clothing (which was always misplaced no matter where she went) would single her out in a crowd in every world she traveled to. In every world, she was an outcast- an anomaly; one look at her and you knew she wasn't "one of them. She never really found she cared though; Lumine always had her brother, Aether. Sweet, kind Aether- who would always scold her softly after she got into fights but was quick to defend her whenever someone dared to badmouth her. Her twin, her other half.

Aether made her feel safe. When he was by her side, she felt free to be more brash, more bold in her actions- Aether said her courage was more like impulsiveness, and he always chalked up her immaturity to the fact that she was younger. She never agreed with him- after all, he was only a few minutes older than she was. Lumine thinks that she took for granted his presence- the fact that she thought he would always be by her side. That was why she had been so rash- because she had thought that her big brother would always be there to patch her up. Until he wasn't.

Aether made her feel... jealous at some times. Everyone always said that Aether was the kinder twin, which was true. While he would always try to meet a consensus first before fighting, to get to know someone before making his first impression of them, Lumine was quick to judge. Even their fighting styles were different; Aether's were more calculated than she was, while she made every strike count- heavy, hard attacks that ensured she took down her opponent with as few swings as possible. But despite their differences, she still loved him. She missed him. Now, more than ever.

Lumine was the traveler. That was what everyone saw her as- and even now, she believed that no one would ever know her as Aether did. Lumine, the traveler, was different from Lumi- Aether's twin sister. Lumine, the traveler was an approachable, helpful person- who always helped out with commissions, little tasks, and big ones... it was so easy to take advantage of her. More than once she felt as if she was just another pawn in someone's game, a chess piece that could be moved or lost and just as easily replaced- it was as if her purpose was only to advance someone else towards their goals.

Lumi, the twin, was a kind yet strong headed girl- one who would never hesitate to fight for what she fought was right, and protect the one thing she loved more than anything in the world- her big brother. Lumi, who could take down dragons with ease but would cry from small scrapes after falling down a set of stairs. Lumi was okay, as long as she had her brother. But, was Lumi happy? That was a different thing.

Everyone saw how bright Aether shone. Aether was a star, while she was the moon. The moon cannot shine without the presence of a star- while a star can shine all on its own. Everyone looked to Aether- they wanted his help first and foremost, and she was only a second option. She hated that she would feel so inferior yet understood at the same time- after all, Aether was such a bright, wonderful person- so of course, everyone loved him. Aether was Aether. Lumi was just Aether's twin sister. And such a cycle began. All her life, she had always felt conflicted- between the love she felt for her brother, and the pain- the sadness- from always being outshone. It was inevitable, with twins- was it not? All her life though, Aether had been there. Never further than an arm's length away. Now, he was... god knows where. And that was why now, it was different.

Now, Lumine was both the traveler and the star child's twin. A girl who wanted to help others, just as her brother would, in hopes of finding him... no matter the cost.
