"Hilda! Where's the pencil case you bought for him? I can't find it and I have the stationery right here!"

"It's here, mum!" Hilda called as she ran towards the front door where Johanna was waiting with the stationery.

It had been two weeks since the incident of that mysterious howling, Johanna had made Hilda promise to act like it had never happened. Johanna put the stationery into the pencil case as Luke waddled out of his room with his brand new schoolbag. Hilda picked a blue one to match his eyes.

"You already look so smart, Luke! Here's your pencil case! Hilda picked this out for you, too!" Johanna smiled as she handed him the pencil case. It was a long, one-zip blue pencil case with a white wolf in a howling position as decoration. Luke's eyes widened as he stared at it.

"Wolf..." he squeaked.

"Yeah.. you seemed really interested in the howling that other da-"

"Hilda!" Johanna gave a look that reminded Hilda of the promise.

"R-right... anyways, I thought you might like wolves so I... got you one. Thought the white wolf was the best because well... I couldn't find any silver ones..."

Luke just stood there staring at the pencil case.

"Wolf," he spoke quietly.

"Alright, Hilda you need to go to school too, you know! Come on, we'll be waiting outside." Johanna said as she helped Luke with his jacket.

"Okay!" Hilda headed back into her room. Twig grunted when Hilda put a piece of paper into her bag.

"Yeah yeah, I know, Twig, I promised mum I would forget the howling incident never existed. But what if there is a wolf in Trolberg? We need to make sure of that first!"

When Hilda exited the house, Johanna and Luke were already in the car waiting. She hopped into the front seat and they took off.

Things didn't go as expected when the kids immediately started laughing at Luke.

"Haha! Look at his silver hair! He must be a thousand years old and he's just started school! Hahahaha!"

Luke looked at them and tilted his head.

"Hey! He can't even understand us hahaha!"

Luke walked up to the two and bared his teeth, suddenly his teeth grew razor sharp as he let out a low growl. The two boys flinched and quickly ran away from him.

"Monster! He's a monster!"

Hilda stood there staring at him.

"What were those teeth..." she murmured. Suddenly Frida emerged from behind her and tapped her shoulder.

"Ah! Frida, don't scare me like that!" Hilda exclaimed as she jumped back, turning around to see her friend with her arms crossed.

"You're the one scaring me. Why are you staring at your brother like that?"

"W-well..."

"Whatever. Come on, let's go to class!" Frida grabbed Hilda by the arm and dragged her to class. Hilda briefly turned to wave goodbye to her mother. And within the blink of an eye, they were gone.

"Excuse me!" a lady, who seemed to be a teacher, approached Luke and gently tapped him on the shoulder. Seeing that, Johanna immediately rushed forward to join him.

"Oh! You must be his mother, am I right?" the lady said.

"Yes! He is!" Johanna nodded proudly, "Do you know where he's supposed to go?"
