!! PERCY'S POV !!

Ever since the Great Clan War, I've been on the run; knowing that one of my best friends, Isaac, had died right before my eyes; my other best friend, Vasco, had disappeared in the rain, assuming he had died; and Isaac's son. I never heard about Isaac's son, and had to accept my assumption that he had also died due to the harsh, cruel environment. I never cared for any of that and had left it behind me, for all that I cared for...

Was to find my son, Luke.

I only found out now, how selfish and how much of a coward I've been when I found Callum by the riverside. I jumped to conclusions, I was careless. Yet I continued to move on as I took Callum with me and raised him like he was my own. Callum grew up not knowing about the Great Clan War, and was only told about it by me recently. That was also what caused his eyes to turn blue, symbolising the grief and devastation he felt. The agony was so strong, even though he wasn't clear about his parents. Yet the pain he felt was still so strong, I couldn't imagine what it would've been like if everything were to happen right before his eyes...

Then I met Johanna.

I don't know how, or why, but the moment our eyes met I felt drawn to her, like an invisible string was pulling me towards her. Whenever she was around, it felt as though the pain had never happened to me, as if the whole war had never happened. The warm comfort, like sitting by the campfire with a blanket sipping on hot chocolate massed with marshmallows.I'm pretty sure that was how Callum felt too when he met Hilda, Johanna's daughter. All I know, is that I had found a new family, and that a miracle sat waiting for me with them when I found the one I spent nearly half my life searching. I don't know how I deserved this, but all I know is that I had found a family where I could just forget about the past, where I could just enjoy and grow with. I never thought that I'd meet one of my old friends again...

!! 3RD PERSON !!

"Just you and me on this arena. I challenge you to a fight to the death."

Johanna gasped, "What-"

"Are you crazy, Perce?!" Callum burst out. "No, I call this challenge off. That's not a fair way to settle things."

"Then tell me how." Percy turned to Callum. Callum flinched at the motion.

"What other way is there?" Percy asked calmly. Callum gritted his teeth, as though he knew what to say, but it was hard to let it out.

"Callum?" Hilda asked, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah." Callum lied, his voice soft and with a pure sign of gentleness. He turned his head to look at Hilda, his face now plastered with a grin. "I'm fine."

He turned and marched towards the arena, announcing, "There is another way to settle this."

He glared at Wolf Slayer standing out in the shade, "I'll show you Percy isn't the most cowardly person in this room."

He jabbed an index finger at Wolf Slayer, "I challenge you, Wolf Slayer, to a fight to the death."
