A trail of saliva dripped on the cold, metal floor as an iron cage was carried steadily and slowly down the hallway. Snarling were heard echoing in the lit area as a massive pitch black creature followed after the cage, which was carried by four men dressed in long, black coats with matching black hats at each edge of the cage. Inside the cage, sat Luke, shivering with fear as he hugged his knees tightly. His heart thumped so fast he felt like crying - he just wanted to see his family again. However, there was also something strange, a powerful, familiar aura around him. It should've been obvious since he was in the lair full of werewolf hunters, but the aura he sensed felt familiar - yet unknown.
Eventually, they made it to the end of the hallway, with a dead end that was a cell. It was smaller than the cells Luke had seen. The four men set the cage down, and a loud clang made Luke flinch, sending shivers down his spine as the loud sound echoed its way back down the hallway. As the sound faded, one of the men headed to the door of the cage and, using a key, unlocked it and opened the door, immediately picking up the small silver-haired boy and tossed him into the cell. Luke landed with a thud, hi head hitting the cold, metal-hard floor, knocking him unconscious.
"Boss'll be here anytime soon. You better make a good first impression, or he won't be as nice." the man spat as he turned away, helping the other three men lifting the cage. As they walked away, the black wolf turned back to see unconscious Luke on the floor, motionless. Its eyes glowed in violet as it let out a deep, low growl. As it did, Luke suddenly twitched a bit uncomfortably as a whimper in fear escaped from his mouth. The wolf snorted and turned away, trotting out of view to catch up with the other werewolf hunters...
"What do you mean 'disappeared into the shadows'?!" Hilda exclaimed, not believing what she just heard from Callum, who stood there stiff to the core. Hilda can be scary sometimes... he thought tearily as Hilda continued to panic around.
"Did you at least see his face?" Percy asked worriedly.
"For the millionth time, Perce, no!" Callum said loudly. Johanna joined in and put a hand on Hilda's head in hopes of calming her down.
"We need to try and go back in cautiously, it was fine escaping last time thanks to Percy, but whatever thing that took Luke must know the shadows very well, it is most definitely on their side, so we'll have to be at high alert at all times." she said while stroking Hilda's silky blue hair. Percy nodded in agreement.
"We should try and get in through the same place we got out, it's the area we're most familiar with," he added, "we'll get extra serious from there onwards."
"We'll use my car!" Johanna instantly offered. Hearing that, Percy smiled warmly and stepped up to her, lifting her head slightly by the chin.
"Couldn't you ever be more helpful." he said softly, giving her a gentle kiss on the lips. Johanna looked to the side, flushed. A small smile appeared on her face. Callum and Hilda stood there, the awkwardness started to rise around them. But before it could get any worse, Callum stepped forward and said, "Well, Luke could be going through all sorts of trouble. Let's go!"
Johanna immediately began fast-walking towards her car, with Hilda tailing her. As Percy turned towards them to follow, he was stopped when a hand gripped on to his arm. He turned to see Callum, whose face was suddenly blushing furiously.
"Cal? What's with the sudden red face? You look like a tomato.." Percy said as Callum let go of his arm and stood there. He looked almost as if he were guilty for crime he commited.
"J-just now..." Callum stammered, not peeling his eyes off the ground, "wh-when you... k-kissed her... h-how did you m-make it look..."
He gulped.
