"Is Isaac my father, Vasco? Answer me!" Callum demanded harshly. Vasco just sat there as though he was relaxing on the beach. He let out a long sigh, "His son disappeared the middle of the war, how am I supposed to know?"

"Stop playing around and give me the answer! Yes, or no!" Callum raised his voice and nearly yelled. He stood up and clenched his fists, which sparkled with lightning as soon as he did.

"Woah, woah! No need to be so aggressive now, boy." Vasco pressed his hand against Callum's chest and gently pushed him back down. Callum scowled and sat back down, with Hilda next to him placing her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Callum..." Percy finally spoke. Everyone turned their heads to face Callum, then looked at Percy.

"I shouldn't have let him die... I should've done something... I'm a coward, I know... I've always been one..." Percy continued as he began to tear up; he gritted his teeth and wiped his tears with his sleeve. Johanna shifted herself closer to him and gently pulled his head onto her shoulder as she hugged him. Percy sniffed and looked up.

"Isaac's last name is Ford. He left you by the river where I found you and... yes, he's your father." he finished. Callum's heart made an intense leap against his chest. Percy sighed shakily as he trembled. "When your eye colour changed after you managed to break the curse, they turned purple. Because of the different colours your eyes had progressed through. Blue and red make purple; and your eyes did turn blue, however it did not turn red. I told you I didn't know why... but - I lied."

Vasco scoffed and crossed his arms as he said, "Lil' Callum is more special than he thinks."

"What do you mean?" Callum asked in a harsh tone as he looked at him.

"Now, now, not with that tone. Tsk tsk." Vasco shook his head as he spoke.

"I'm not a child anymore, Vasco. Tell me what you mean." Callum growled impatiently. Hilda's grip on his shoulder tightened.

"Sigh... the Ford name was very well-known in the clan. All werewolf clans know their own members' last names, of course. But in our clan, the Ford name was the talk of the town. It was the name of the Alpha wolf, of course."

"What?" Callum gasped softly, "'Alpha'?"

"Yes, 'Alpha'," Vasco repeated hastily, "Isaac was to become the next true Alpha after his father, your grandfather.

"Now when werewolves go to war, it is usually done on a full moon, when the werewolves' powers are at its fullest potential. The full moon just so happens to also be when the next chosen lucky werewolf earns the title as Alpha. And Isaac was the lucky puppy, just that he couldn't live to see his own rightful claim. And we all know what happens if an Alpha abdicates or loses his life."

"... it gets passed on to the next rightful Alpha." Percy finished hoarsely. He finally lifted his head and looked up at Callum, "You."

Hilda and Callum both widened their eyes like ping-pong balls, their eyes clearly showing the shock upon hearing that.

"W-wait so... I-"

"Yes, you have the powers and abilities of an Alpha. However, your clan has been entirely eliminated, I betrayed your clan, there's only Percy." Vasco said lazily, "All this time it should have been you leading the ways of your life rather than having Percy do it."

"You knew?" Callum looked at Percy. Percy gave a pained look and nodded once.

"Then - why go after Percy when you should be after me? I mean... Percy's raw strength is impeccable but, I'm the Alpha." Callum stated bewilderedly, looking from Percy to Vasco for answers.
