"The Rabid Curse is a certain curse affective to us wolves ONLY. It's happened to my wife before we got married... but only temporarily because of our relationship." Percy explained as they rushed through the woods on Jellybean's back.

"What do you mean?" Hilda asked inquisitively.

"The reason the Curse acted upon my wife was unknown, but to Callum I think I know why..." he paused as he sat there studying his thoughts before continuing, "It's really simple and doesn't sound enough for something like the Curse, but I think it was an event that happened somewhere in his life that he told me about-"

"We don't need the whole story of the event, just... what resulted in it?" Frida said, gripping firmly onto the hound's back, trying not to get shaken off as she was seated at the back near the legs.

"Okay... the event must've been one of the hardest, maybe it came right after losing his family. Rabies are caused when there is contact with the extracellular fluid of an infected animal. As for the Curse, it was caused in a similar way. Callum was injected with something, and the Curse goes that whenever there's an event that reminds him of the hardest moment in life a werewolf. It's most effective especially when they get ejected at a time when they're just experiencing whatever brings them stress or trauma in their life, they get so devastatingly stressed that they lose both physical and mental control of themselves and become... well, what you just saw in Callum. It's lucky that I don't have it... I'm considered the main target for the werewolf hunters..."

"Wow... that's a lot to take in." David breathed. Hilda thought about that time when Percy and Luke reunited.

What he did then... he must've tried to harm himself to prevent the Curse from acting up, Hilda thought, it's actually really hard holding back a Curse while keeping a face like that...

"Not that much if you think about it." Percy continued, shaking Hilda's thoughts off. "To stop a rampage, we must do something strong enough to calm them, and trust me it takes a lot, it isn't as easy as it sounds. But for my wife, just a simple kiss was enough."

Abruptly, Jellybean let out a yelp, nearly throwing everyone off, again.

"Jellybean! Woah, calm down!" the nisse stroked his head gently. Jellybean calmed down, but he wouldn't stop staring at the black shadowy figure between a pair of trees.

"Callum!" Percy gasped. Callum revealed himself. The menacing look didn't surprise the rest as much, but it still terrified them.

"I'm not going to be able to sleep for the rest of the month seeing that look on his face!" David gulped, trying to hide himself from Callum within Jellybean's fur.

Percy transformed into his wolf form, resulting in Callum calming down, but not letting his guard down.

I have to stop myself, he thought, Percy may be stronger than me, but he's no match to my elemental powers, not when it's in control of itself... he's going to die if he were to fight back when I attack him...

Percy neared Callum, who only began growling.

Stop it! I need to find a way to control myself - oh, right...

Callum growled louder and louder the closer Percy stepped towards him.

... this is a curse. It can't be helped... at least calm me down; I don't wanna hurt anybody...

Percy's grey eyes stared into Callum's blue eyes. There weren't any electric shocks now, but he still looked ready for a fight. Hilda watched the two werewolves as they began pacing in circles, not peeling they're eyes off each other.
