Riley's POV
I wake up to a text. Who could it be so late? I look at it. It's from Lucas.
'Hey babe 💞' he said. He used the emoji that I told him I loved, he actually cares, he actually listens. I'm afraid to respond. I don't know what to say, not after yesterday.
'Hi, Lucas 💞' I type, my fingers are shaking. I lie back down to wait for his response but immediately he responds. Like he's been waiting for a response all night.
Lucas's POV
Omg. Riley noticed. She knew what I meant, she sent it back! I can't believe she sent '💞' back. I respond as fast as lightning with,
'just waking up?'
'Yeppers' she responded.
'So, about yesterday....'
'Ya, about that. I-I um...'
'Enjoyed it? Replay it in your mind every time you get a chance? Drempt about it last night? Loved it?'
'Exactly,' I don't know why but I feel like she was relieved when she typed that.
'Ya, it was pretty great.' I say.
'No, it wasn't great... It was magnificent.' She said.
'So What are you doing tonight? You free?'
