Alaska

At precisely 8:37, Maya, Riley, Lucas, and Farkle get pulled out of class. They are told to go to the principals office. When they walk in Mrs. Gregg smiles. "Hi, kids."
"Hey, Mrs. Gregg," they all say in unison.
"Take a seat," the kids do as they are told. "Kids, we have a very special opportunity, for four students in the entire district. You four were chosen because of your friendship, compassion, and behavior."
Maya cuts her off, "Are you sure you meant me? Because I only have one of those things, and it ain't behavior."
"Yes, I meant you, because this one keeps you in line," she points to Riley. "This is very special because the four of you, if you choose, get to go to Alaska." The kids look at each other excitedly. "But, before you get too excited, remember, this is for an important research project. I can't tell you what yet, but I can say, you will get to explore the beauty of Alaska, and you'll have some free days."
"What about school," Farkle Questions.
"You'll be gone for one month and a half, so you'll get all your seventh grade credits."
"Awesome," says Maya.
"Yes, but the thing is, you have to decide if you all want to go, call your parents, and ask right now. Then, if you are going, you get to choose one adult, that isn't your parents, from this school to go with you. And Riley, your parents are ok with it. I'll leave you alone to decide." Mrs. Gregg leaves.
