I ran on and on, after a while the screams from the village died away, but I did not turn around, I only looked ahead.
After a few minutes, I ran out of breath and began to walk.
The child had become very quiet, I looked down at her and she had already fallen asleep.
I am scared, but somehow I also feel safe...a strange feeling.
My mother told me that this child is the chosen one. I believe her. My mother would never lie to me.
The prophecy must be fulfilled. My parents often talked about it, but I never thought I would help fulfill it.
A few hours have passed, I am now standing in front of the black mountain. I never really realized how huge it was.
It will take years to get to the top, one couldn't even see it from down here.
It was far above the clouds.I looked at the child and she was awake.
She smiled at me and reached out her hands.
I smiled back and hugged her.
I feel kind of sorry for this child. I know that she will not have a childhood. This mountain is full of monsters and other evil creatures.
I had to learn how to defend ourselves and when the child grows up I have to teach her too.
I set off and began to climb the mountain.
