I saw that the guardian was charging his laser and had me in his sights.
"Catch!"
Bodul shouted and threw me his black coat.
He once told me that this coat was made of certain material, strong enough to block the Guardians' lasers and get away without harm.
I caught the coat and held it in front of me.
The laser hit the coat and it was simply absorbed.
"Incredible..."
I thought and jumped up.
I turned to Bodul and wanted to throw the coat back at him.
"Put it on, you need it now more than-"
He was interrupted as the Guardian from earlier came out of the cave and attacked him.
I did as he said and put the coat on.
I ran towards the pistol lying on the ground but the Guardian threw his spear and destroyed the pistol.
I ran to the spear and tried to pull it out of the ground, but I had no chance, I was way too weak.
I tried to run to my amulet, but the guardian stomped on the ground and released another shockwave that knocked me back to the ground.
I stood up and looked around.
Damn...this fight attracted more guardians.
I couldn't count them exactly, but there were definitely over ten guardians coming at us with even more behind them.
Close behind me I heard a soft crying. I turned around and saw that the child had left her hiding place and crawled towards me.
I picked her up and held her close to me. I looked to the side and saw Bodul running towards us. The Guardian from the cave fell down lifeless.
"Bodul, there are way too many of them. What are we going to do?"
Suddenly, a Guardian grabbed Bodul by the neck and picked him up into the air.
Bodul threw the pistol at me. It fell to the ground, but I picked it up and shot the crystal of the Guardian holding Bodul up.
Bodul jumped away and the guardian sank to the ground.
Bodul made his way back to us.
"Thanks boy, you really-"
A laser pierced him and he fell to the ground.
"NO!"
I shouted in rage
The child looked at Bodul in shock and let out a scream.
It was the loudest and most powerful thing I have ever heard.
A strong earthquake was released and it began to rain and thunder.
All the Guardians who had already surrounded us broke into many small stones.
There were already so many gathered here, there were easily over twenty.
