On the way to the top of the mountain I was often afraid, but every time I looked at the smiling child, this fear disappeared as if by magic.
This child was really something special.
It wasn't long before I noticed a mark on the child's forearm. It looked like a tattoo of a dragon. I don't think it was allowed to tattoo a child.
I quickly realized that it was probably a sign of the Chosen One, who already had it at birth.
During the ascent of the mountain we met a man.
His name was Bodul. He was wearing a black coat and black pants with a silver belt.
The most notable thing about him was his black top hat with a red stripe.
He was armed with two pistols, but he was no threat to us. On the contrary, he told me that he knew about the prophecy and was waiting here for the child.
He took the child and looked at the mark on her forearm.
"She is indeed the one who is chosen," he said, nodding.
He suggested I should leave because it was too dangerous for a child up here. He had someone who could escort me back, but I wanted to go with him.
He knelt down in front of me and asked me if I would be willing to die for this child.
I said yes and after a short talk he gave me one of his pistols and shortly after he taught me how to use it.
