War

Crystal's POV

I woke up, I had breakfast before linking with my avatar. When I woke in my avatar body. I was in Orodon's arms and snuggle into him. Wanting to enjoy our time together before the battle. "Mín gar- na wake up zoplo" he tells me. (Translation: We have to wake up now).

"I know, please be careful out there. I don't want to lose you" I tell him in English.

"Ngenga too" he tells me and we kiss gently. We got up and prepared for battle. Putting on our warrior paint and grabbing our weapons. Then mounted our ikran and took off following Uncle Jake with the other fliers. Uncle Jake, Neytiri, Tsu'tey, Norman and I all have radio necklaces on. So that we could communicate during the battle.

Originally Uncle Jake did not want me to fight. But I am one of the people like him. So he could not stop me. But he made me promise to stay with Orodon or Neytiri through out the battle. Which I agreed too.

Ava clings to the cliff by Neytiri's ikran and Orodon is beside me. Our ikran, direhouse and ourselves are all painted for war. Soon we hear the gunships approaches. Ava starts to become restless. "Mawey Ava, mawey" I say gently rubbing her neck. (Translation: calm Ava, calm). The plan is simple take out as many ships as possible while Uncle Jake takes out the bomber with the grenades. To protect the tree of souls and the innocence there. Mo'at is there with the children, pregnant women and elderly. They are all praying for us.

As soon as the gunships enter the dead-zone where their radars don't work we strike. Unce Jake leads the way on Toruc Macto with Tsu'tey and Neytiri flanking him on their ikran. Orodon and I flank them as we all let out war cries. I tag team with Orodon and we take out our first gunship.

"Hell yeah!" Uncle Jake shouts and I smirk.

"Uncle Jake whoever takes out the most gunships wins" I say over the radio.

"You're on" he tells me.

"Jake! We're falling back!" Norman shouts over the radio.

"Roger that, get out of there" Uncle Jake tells him. I take out my bow and arrow, then start shooting gunners with deadly accuracy. I see Tsu'tey and Orodon doing the same thing. As I start to run low on arrows I look at Orodon and he nods his head. We tag team another gunship.

Ikran and their riders fall out of the sky. As they hit by bullets and missiles. The occasional trail of smoke and fire marks the demise of a tilt-rotor. I notice a gunship tailing Neytiri and snarl. No one hurts my aunt and I take off after them. I see them disappear behind a waterfall shortly followed by an explosion.

"Neytiri!" I shout. But I notice her and she's alive. However, is still being chased and shot at. I notice the missiles being locked onto her and hiss. I haveAva slam into the gunship and we both go into a downward spiral with it. I get us loose and we get out of range as the gunship crashes on the ground. And explodes.

"Thank you Gilrin" Neytiri tells me over the radio.

"No one messes with my aunt" I tell her as I fly beside her smiling. We rejoin the battle and are soon being followed again. "I have an idea, follow me" I say and dive into the trees. She follows me and we start to zigzag through the trees. We pass a group of hunters and they drop a net on the gunship. I smirk as it crashes upside down to the forest floor.

But Neytiri and I are both distracted and don't see the ground sky people aiming at us. Until Zeze and Ava are shot, we crash to the ground hard. We roll away from them unbonded. I stand up shaking my head.

"Zeze/Ava!" Neytiri and I shout running over to our down ikran.

"Ava" I cry as I hold her head and she dies in my arms. As Zeze does in Neytiri's. We hear the sky people closing in and hide behind two trees.

"Me Jake" Neytiri says over the radio.

"I read you" he says.

"Zeze and Ava are dead" I tell him sadly.

"They are very close Jake, there are so many" Neytiri adds as she looks at the approaching sky people. I start to prepare my bow as she does the same. If I die today, I'm taking them with me.

"Tell Orodon I love him" I tell my uncle.

"Do not attack" Jake tells us. "Do you read me? Get out of there, do not attack" he orders. But we ignore him aiming our bows at the nearest sky people, when we suddenly hear a stampede. We lower our bows as a herd of angtsìk crashes through the trees. They charge the walkers and soldiers along with viper-wolves.

"Jake, Ewya has heard you" Neytiri says in shock over the radio as I look up to see wild ikran also joining the fight above.

"Ewya has heard you!" we shout raising our bows. We go to join the fight when the palulukan appears. "Shall we aunt Neytiri?" I ask smirking.

"We shall" she says as the palulukan bows to us. Neytiri bonds with it and mounts it. I then get on behind her. We join the fight again.

However, soon Neytiri leads us away from the main fight. "What are you doing?" I ask her confused.

"Jake is in trouble" she tells me and I nod my head. I soon see the hidden cabin that has Jake's human body inside. I jump off as the palulukan slams into the walker as the rider went to kill Jake. I then realize it's the colonel.

He soon kills Palulukan with an AMP Suit Knife and I snarl. I notch one of my two remaining arrows and aim. I fire and shot him in the chest and he looks at me shocked. Not realizing I had been there the whole time. I notch the other arrow and fire again. He dies as Neytiri frees herself from Palulukan's dead body and runs over to an unconscious Jake.

"Jake!" she shouts trying to wake him and I look at the shack to see the broken window.

"Neytiri, the shack!" I shout and she vaults over. She goes in and goes over to Jake as I look through the window. "The mask beside him, put it on him" I tell her and she does so hurriedly as she holds his small fragile human body close. Jake gasps for air and he soon looks up at Neytiri, I smile it is over. We had won.
