Crystal's POV

"Uncle, do you ever feel like that when we're in our avatars. That that is the real world and that this in our human bodies is the dream?" I ask him.

"I do, sometimes" he tells me as we ate our dinner.

"I'm starting to feel like that all the time" I tell him honestly. "I've started dreading going to sleep in my avatar form" I state.

"I am sorry you have to go through this" he tells me.

"It's not your fault, I signed up for this with Dad. But I never thought I'd start a whole new life as an avatar. But here I am falling in love with Orodon, a proud hunter and I have a new home. I don't want to lose it" I tell him.

"You won't" he assures me. We call it a night. I crawl into be praying that when I close my eyes I'll be back at Home Tree.

(Next day)

Orodon, Neytiri, Uncle Jake and I decided to go for a training session in hunting from the air. We mounted our ikran and took off from Home Tree. We fly along a forested ridge Orodon and Neytiri demonstrating how to aim while flying. They carry their bows at the ready, scanning below them for prey.

A huge shadow covers us and Neytiri yells in  warning. I look up to see the Great Leonopteryx. It's like a banshee, only several times larger, it is the king of the sky. Striped scarlet, yellow and black, with a midnight blue crested head. It is both gorgeous and terrifying. We hunters have become the prey.

"Into the trees!" Uncle Jake yells. We all dive into the forest canopy below. The Leonopteryx tears through foliage behind us, following us. We go through a gap it can not follow and land. As its fanged mouth opens in a bloodcurdling screech which echoes among the mountains. Before flying away.

We all look at each other and crack up laughing. "Mana care- ngenga mawey tsakem?" I ask Orodon as we fly back to Home tree with the other two. Staying under the forest canopy.

"Toruk Macto" he tells me.

"I'll tell you the story of Toruk Macto when we arrive at Home Tree" Neytiri tells me. I smile and we race back. Which Orodon wins along with Neytiri. But Uncle and I tied for last place. We land and Neytiri leads us to the ground floor. To a display and I notice the skull of a Leonopteryx.

"So what's the story?" I ask Neytiri curious as we gather around the display. She crouches in front of it looking up at it proudly.

"It is Toruk, Last Shadow" she tells us.

"Yeah, right. It's the last one you'll ever see" Uncle Jake says.

"Shush" I shush him.

"My grandfather's grandfather was Toruk Macto, Rider of Last Shadow" Neytiri explains.

"He rode this?" Uncle Jake and I ask  her surprised.

"Toruk chose him, it has only happened five times since the time of first songs" she states.

"That's a long time" I state.

"Toruk Macto was mighty. He brought the clans together in a time of great sorrow. All Na'vi people know this story" Neytiri tells us.

"Thank you fro telling us" I tell her.

"Ohe kin sìltsan cen- mime nekx" Orodon tells me.  (Translation: I must go see my brother).

"Pesu?" I ask him confused. (Translation: who?).

"Tsu'tey" he tells me and I look at him surprised. We'd know each for months. How did I not know he was related to Tsu'tey? At least we have two years to get to know each other properly before we mate for life. I hug him and he leaves me with the other two. Neytiri starts to go through the basics of aerial hunting with Uncle Jake & I. She promised we could go out again in the morning to practice again.

I then go hang out with some other young hunters. We play a few games. Before we are called to dinner. We join the rest of the tribe for dinner. I sit by my uncle. I ate my food in silence until Orodon comes over.

"Tsu'tey, wishes ana oment ngenga" he tells me. (Translation: Tsu'tey, wishes to meet you). I nod my head and he leads me over to Tsu'tey.

"So this is the girl who has captured my brother's eye" Tsu'tey says as we reach him. "And do you feeling the same way?" he asks me.

"I would not be courting him if I did not feel the same way" I tell him honestly. "My feelings fro him grow everyday" I state.

"You did good capturing your Ikran" he tells me.

"Thank you" I say.

"Perhaps the three of us can go out for a flight tomorrow" he suggests.

"Neytiri is going to take Uncle Jake and I out to practice our aerial hunting tomorrow" I tell him.

"I shall speak with her and you can train with us" Tsu'tey states. I smile in gratitude. He then leaves Orodon and I alone. Orodon and I get to know each other more. Telling each other about our childhoods. He even told me some funny stories about him and Tsu'tey. Which I promised to never tell anyone.
