Crystal's POV

As Grace and Norman were going through tribe leaders with my uncle. I got into my pod and closed the lid. Linking with my avatar before anyone can stop me. Once my eyes open I get out of my hammock and climb onto the branch. I then make my way down to the eating area and spot Neytiri. "Oe kame nga" I say smiling as I sit down beside her. (Translation: I see you).

"Very good" she says smiling after returning the greeting. "I think you need focus on hunting, tracking and other skills. You have our language down" she states.

"Thank you, my father taught me" I tell her smiling.

"That being said, someone else will train you today while i train your uncle" she states.

"Pesu?" I ask her confused (translation: who).

"Me" says a young guys voice and I turn to see the teenager from last night. "Oe kame nga, oe am Orodon. Oeruprrte ne ultxa nga Gilrin" he says. (Translation: I see you, I am Orodon. Pleasure to meet you Gilrin).

"He only speaks Na'vi, but understands English" Neytiri tells me. I nod my head and smile. I can't think of the Na'vi words for my and name. So I decide to tell him in English as he understands it.

"My name is Crystal" I tell him.

"Na'vi est Gilrin" he tells me smiling and I nod my head.

"What does Gilrin mean? And wants my uncle's Na'vi name?" I ask Neytiri.

"It means 'Lady crowned with stars', Orodon came up with it himself" Neytiri explains and I blush. "You're uncle, we're calling him Skxawng" she adds and I giggle.

"He can be a bit of a Skxawng" I say smiling as Uncle Jake joined us. I start to eat my breakfast as Neytiri told my uncle the plan for today. He wasn't pleased with me being alone with a teenage boy. But Neytiri calmed him down.

After breakfast Orodon takes me to a Direhorse, sorry Pa'li paddock. He brought me over to a tied up female. "Poe na- beautiful" I say stroking her neck. (Translation: she is beautiful)

"Poe na mysa'nok's Pa'li, hen est na Anita" he tells me smiling. (Translation: she is my mother's Direhorse, her name is Anita). "Nga will tsu numing peyfe ne makto" he adds. (Translation: You will be learning how to ride). I nod my head excitedly.

But before I learnt how to mount and bond with Anita. He explained the anatomy of the Pa'li and how the bond works exactly. According to him once both Anita and I were used to each others thought patterns. I would be able to tell her where to go with my mind. But for now I had to tell her verbally.

It was finally time to try riding Anita. But I was having trouble mounting her. Because I'm short. Suddenly hands grabbed my waist and I was lifted onto her. I blush avoiding Orodon's eyes. He gestured to my plait and I grab it remembering I had to bond with Anita still. Once bonded I feel everything the ground beneath her, her strong heart beat and her muscles flexing as she paws the ground.

"Forward kì'onglui" I tell Anita. (Translation: forward slowly). She does so and I get the hang of turning. While holding her antenna like reins. An hour later I'm trotting around the paddock as my uncle appears with Neytiri. They approached another female Pa'li. That Neytiri started to teach him how to ride.

He told her forward and she trotted forward. But my uncle didin't expect her to go so fast. So when he fell off I laughed as I have Anita trot over to him with Orodon beside us.

"Having fun uncle?" I ask smirking.

"Grand old time, see you mastered riding" he says dusting himself off.

"Just like the pony I rode for my fifth birthday" I say fondly patting her neck. Just then Tsu'tey appears with some other warriors. He told my uncle he should go away and I glare at him.

"Nah, you'd miss me. I knew you could speak English" uncle Jake says pointing at him.

"Fìketuwong ke nayume ke'u, unna Gilrin" Tsu'tey tells Neytiri. (Translation: This alien will learn nothing, unlike Gilrin).

"Poan indome" I say confidently. (Translation: he will).

"Nì'ul kame tskxe. Poru tìng nari" Tsu'tey states pointing to my uncle as he pulls dirt off of his tongue. (Translation: A rock sees more. Look at him). I glare at him hotly, why does he have to be such a jerk to my uncle? Neytiri tells him to go and he leaves with the warriors. She tells my uncle to try again as Orodon guides me back to our training area.

"Si nga now ne ka for a makto?" Orodon asks me. (Translation: Do you want to go for a ride). I nod my head and he grabs his own Pa'li Nuka. We leave the clearing and head to a stream where I drank some water. While we're there he shows me different tracks telling me what they belonged to. It was relaxing and made me forget Tsu'tey.

But soon we had to return to home-tree for the night. Where I had to go to sleep and return to my human body. Honestly, it didn't feel like mine anymore. I know it's weird, but I feel like I belong in my Na'vi form. I came here for a new start and becoming an Omaticaya felt like one. Then it feels like a massive step back when I return to my human body. I wrote in my journal as I ate dinner before going to sleep.

A/N

Picture above of Orodon and picture on the external link of his Direhorse.

P.S. I could not find some words in Na'vi and so have written them words in Elvish. In fact Orodon and Gilrin are Elvish names. The word for 'slowly' was a mix of both languages. Please don't be mad.
