Basic premise;
All Jaemin wants is a memorable prom. Haechan goes out of his way to give it to him.
In a way neither of them expected.

Jaemin sighed, putting the last of his 'umpf' into stapling the final corner of the banner to the wall.

Finally done with the gym.

He glanced over from his perch on the step latter to the box of supplies, noticing one last pile of streamers and banners yet to be hung.

But those weren't his problem to deal with.

After all, he already had to pick up extra on Mark's behalf.

That's after Jeno begged him to fill in for him as well, swearing up and down that his excuse wasn't a last minute date attempt this time.

Jaemin saw right through his terrible lies, but said yes anyway.

Best friends are awesome like that.

He didn't mind it at all, because he knew that if the situation was reversed, Jeno would do the exact same for him.

So after hanging sixteen extra banners than originally given to him, he let a relieved and almost snarky grin spread across his face.

I don't have to touch them.

He clambered down the latter and unbuttoned a few of the top clasps of his white blazer, cursing the sudden four day heatwave for coming out of nowhere and trapping him in long sleeves in such conditions.

He ignored the hushed giggles from the juniors who happened to be passing by the door, brushing it off as literally any other Tuesday.

Until he realized it was him they were giggling at.

Yes, the man was gorgeous. But his blood was made up of 90% caffeine, and his brain hadn't quite caught up to the party.

He cleared his throat and dropped his head, rubbing the back of his neck in a new flood of self consciousness- which only made them swoon more.

Until a shrill voice pierced the quiet ambience.

"Putting on a show for me I see?"

Ah. Right.

At once, all embarrassment evaporated from his body, and he straightened out his frame.

"You wish."

Shifting his weight to the side, the older cooed.

"I don't have to."

Jaemin rolled his eyes and propped his hand up on his hip. "Right. What you do have to do, is hang up your banners before Mrs. Jung has our heads on a platter."

The head of brassy red just laughed at him.

"Jisung's doing that."

Queue a very confused voice from somewhere behind him in the crowd.

Jisung then managed to squeeze his way into the gym to get a look at this thing he was now apparently doing, his sophomore year self being very depressive once he realized it was decorations for a Junior-Senior prom.
