~ Chapter Six ~

Sakura's POV:

We all woke up early in the morning. Last night was kind of weird between Sasuke and me, but I will also admit it was funny. I changed into my Anbu uniform and wore my mask. I waited in the lobby for everyone else to make their way down. Once there I bowed down to greet lady Tsunade and she gave us the order to move out.

We were meeting Gaara at his apartment this morning before he leaves for his office. I couldn't help but feel nervous about today. I was a complete mess last night and I hate myself for it, but I hope I am able to get it together this morning. Lady Tsunade and my father were having a conversation while Naruto and Sasuke also had one. I followed behind everyone and tried to control my emotions. 

Before I knew it we were standing in front of his apartment building. We made our way up to his floor and knocked on his door. Not even a minute later the door opened and we were greeted by Matsuri wearing one of his shirts. " Oh... Good morning Hokage-Sama... please come in " She said as she opened the door and signaled for us to come in. I couldn't help but notice the stupid smirk on her face as I walked inside. ' Kami-sama... please give me the strength I need in order not to kill this bitch ' I thought as I decided to stand behind everyone else. Matsuri stood in front of Tsunade-Sama as she gave her a proper greeting. Footsteps were heard rapidly making their way toward us. 

Gaara poked his head out the hallway, his eyes widened as he realized it was us. ' not sure why he's acting all surprised when he knew we were coming ' I thought to myself. He greeted lady Tsunade and the rest of us. " Do you have her items? " Tsunade-Sama asked him. He gave me a quick look before looking back at her " A-Ah... Yes, I do. Give me a second " He said as he began to walk back into the hallway. Matsuri then began to talk to lady Tsunade about their upcoming wedding, but she made sure she was loud enough for me to hear her. She went on blabbering about they decided on getting married next spring, where the ceremony was going to be held, and how stressed she is about planning the wedding even if it was almost a year away. Thankfully, I was wearing my mask because I couldn't hide my facial expressions. 

Gaara made his way back toward us as he carried the bin I gave him last night. " These are her stuff " He said as he stood in front of us. As I was about to take a step forward, Sasuke walked toward him and grabbed the bin. On the other hand, Gaara would not let go of it. " This belongs to her. Back off Uchiha " Gaara said to him as he pulled the bin closer to him. " Hn... well I'll be one taking it " Sasuke said as he pulled the bin toward him, but Gaara pulled it back. " I would really like to avoid conflicts like the one from last night. Gaara, I believe it is best you give the bin to Sasuke " Tsunade-Sama ordered. " What happened last night?" Matsuri asked as she turned to look at Gaara. Gaara let go of the bin and turned to face her. "U-Uh... nothing. don't worry about it " He said to her. 

Sasuke made his way toward me and handed me the bin. " Thank you Sasuke " I said to him as I pulled out a scroll to seal the bin. " We'll be making our way to your office in an hour so we can get a copy of those contracts" Tsunade-Sama said as she signaled us to go. Matsuri opened the door for us as we left the apartment, but I could still feel her piercing gaze on my back. We decided to get breakfast before heading to his office. We got some takeout and made our way to a park nearby his office. We had enough privacy to eat comfortably and for me to remove my mask. Naruto, Sasuke, and I were planning a small trip. Naruto wanted us to head to the land of snow and visit some famous hot springs. the resort is supposed to be top tier. Tsunade-Sama overheard our conversation and said she would allow us and our friends to have some days off in order for us to go on our trip. She just asked us to let her know in advance when it would be so she can take care of our schedules.
