Sabo sat up in the nick of time. As the Teo adults where about to fight, he shot up from his nap accidentally headbutting his pillow, and yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Luffy!"

Both men looked towards him wide eyed.

"I think we should postpone this fight until we know all the facts. After all, this could cause more than a war." The cloaked man nodded turning to leave. He picked up Sabo, who was now out cold again.

"Ya scared?!?" Shankes called with a laugh, but the group ignored him.

"My daughter sure does cause a lot of trouble for me and my crew. I didn't want to fight that man!" He sighed letting sweat drop.

"But wherent you just antagonizing him?" Marco budded in finally catching his breath.

"Who was antagonizing?" He asked looking around. "Me?" He furrowed his brows. "I don't antagonize, that's something I don't do."

Everyone looked at him dumbfounded. Was he that dense? Must be where I get it from then.

And like that, we headed off back towards the ship. I got more than an earful from Marco the whole way back, who was being lectured by Shanks for lecturing his daughter. It was a mess.

Finally, we where back on the ocean where I couldn't cause more problems for either man.

Marco ran the usual blood work, but was more worried than usual.

"Something definitely not right." He mumbled listening to the fetuses heartbeat.

"I think we should get you to a hospital-" He panicked earning weird looks from the rest of the crew. I just frowned looking at my growing baby bump. It was finally just starting to protrude enough to seem bloated.

"Gamble."

2 months 29 days 6 hours 31 minutes 59 seconds

"Please join hold on a little longer." I rubbed my tummy earning a weird look from Marco.

"I'm serious, you need to go to a hospital." His voice was full of worry and concern for both me and the baby.

"Marco, I don't think there's anything we can do but wait it out. Maybe we should just let nature take its course..." I didn't want that, but I knew better than anyone here it was going to happen no mater what.

"Just let me try and save the last piece of Ace I-" he paused, "the last piece of Ace we have."

He was beyond heartbroken. I knew it was coming, but how would he have?

"No. I wont." He didn't like that answer.

And of course, Shanks heard the arguing and forced me to a hospital against my will. It took about another month to get there, meaning it was only one month till I lost the baby, 3 months until Ace died, and 3 months until pops died.

"I'm sorry sirs, there seems to be nothing we can do. We can terminate the pregnancy if you would like?" She looked through her clipboard before speaking again. "There is very little fetal movement, and it seems the cause is unknown." Her eyes held a sadness that would be called unprofessional in the work place.

Aces mother carried him for 20 months, and I can't even carry ours to term?

"No-" I cut off Marco. Tears where streaming down my face. I didn't know what to do.

"What happens if I dont?" I asked in a hushed tone.

"Well, there's about a .1% chance the baby will survive, and only about a 38% chance you will survive if you decide to try and continue to carry this child." She was pretty upset to.

"I'd like to have the pregnancy terminated."

And that's how it was. The end of Aces bloodline. In some twisted way, I think he'd be relived there is no one to carry his name.

Portgas D. Marina was the name I settled on for where we decided to put her headstone.

I hadn't moved from my spot on my bed since that day. Obviously, Shanks felt the revolutionary army was to blame. I felt more like it was my own. Marco was crushed, and blaming only himself for not being a better doctor.

My door flung open hitting the wall behind it. I just knew what it was about.

"Ace has been captured! He's to be executed in a few weeks! We need to get back to pops!" Marcos breathing was short and fast. He was on the brink of a panic attack.

I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at the picture of him in cuffs plastered on the front page.

"Marco, how fast can you fly us to pops?" My hands began to shake as Marco handed me Pops Vivi card.

"If you guide us I'll get us there in a day. Straight shot, no food breaks or anything. " I nodded a simple reply as I hugged my father goodbye and said goodbye to the crew, and we where off. The hours seemed to inch by feeling almost like years.

Not to mention how dangerous this was for both of us. If I fell, he couldn't save me. And if he went down neither of us would survive.

About 26 hours of Marco flying and we where there. He crashed into the whitebeard ship making us both hit the deck hard.

"Speak of the devil and she will apear..." a few voices said upon seeing me and Marco boarding the ship. Whitebeard sat in his chair almost as if he knew we where coming.

"Miss (Y/N), did you take care of what you needed to?" Whitebeards question was answered by my reaction. I grit my teeth and looked away.

I went back towards the room I desperately missed.

The door was closed just as I had left it. I gently twisted the while taking a deep breath. As soon as the door was open, all I could smell was Ace. It was so thick I wanted to fall to the ground and cry.

Everything was where he left it, and a thin layer of dust covered a lot of things. Oh if only me and him could come back and clean it up.

But one this was different.

His hat was tattered and on his bed. The crew must have found it when they looked for him after loosing contact for so long. His familiar knife was also sat on the beside dresser.
