Her POV

Hanging up the phone I walked around the corner stumbling upon a bar like fate was on my side,
I pushed the glass door open and walked in passing people as I made my way to the bar stools taking a seat.
It wasn't super busy considering it was 7pm however it was a Thursday

"Hey, I'm just switching with someone! They'll be with you in a second!"a guy said with a smile and I nodded as he disappeared a new guy appearing from the other end of the bar who caught my eye looking slightly starstruck,

"H-hey what can I get you?"he asked as I looked him over in a familiar way

"I'll have a martini please!"I replied as he avoided eye contact while I tried to figure him out

"Here you go!"He placed the drink in front of me and I saw his ring adding the final piece to the puzzle

"Thanks Tom!"I replied with a smirk and sipped my drink to see him with a slight smirk too

"Y/n!"he said placing his hands on the bar as if he had known me since I walked in

"Nice outfit!"I replied with a smirk sipping my drink earning a smile

"You look good!"he replied and I felt the blush crawl up my drinks

"Thanks!"I said with a smile quickly looking him up and down as he was in black trousers and a white button up shirt

"Excuse me?"a woman asked taking Tom away as he made her drink and I watched him.
He still looks good, I always thought he was attractive and he's just matured slightly...in the best way

"What brings you here?"he asked coming back to me

"The drinks!"I replied and he laughed softly

"Hard day?"he asked

"Long day!"I replied and he nodded making a drink for someone else

"What do you do now?"he asked eyes looking me up and down

"Publishing!"I said with a smile and he smiled back

"You always did love books!"he added then making someone else a drink before leaning on the bar near me

"Another one?"he asked and I nodded sliding my glass at him but he didn't move just looked at me

"You meeting someone?"he asked, his gaze flicking to my lips and I shook my head slightly

"I'm closing up tonight!"he added with a soft smile

"Good for you!"I replied with a smirk both of us knowing I'll stay,
I watched him as he made drinks for people, I always liked watching him, not in a weird way.
He occasionally stole glances my way when he could making me feel caught out so I'd shoot my glance away from him.
When the last person walked out so Tom quickly wiped up turning off half the lights

"Beer?"he asked and I shook my head

"3 drinks in, probably shouldn't!"I replied and we laughed as he reached over the bar grabbing himself one before opening it and sitting on the stool in front of me with our knees touching,

His POV

I couldn't help but stare at her while working, I never expecting to see y/n again and not talking to her more was something I always regretted,
I took her for granted in college, well college and high school me took a lot for granted.
Once I had wiped the surfaces I sat down across from her our knees touching increasing the tension,

"Never thought I'd see you in a suit again!"she said with a smile I've always loved

"Is it a suit if it has no blazer?"I asked sipping my beer and she shrugged
