Chapter 20 Cheer Break

*MK's POV*
We only have 1 week until our cheer competition and the stakes are high. We have been practicing every night for the past 2 weeks from 5:00 to 9:00 and on the weekends from 12:00 to 10:00. On top of that I have football so I am tired AF right now. "Okay! Water break is over so get your butts up and go to your stunts!" Our coach, Will screams. We groan and get up. In my stunt group it's me and Courtney as bases, Lauren as a back spot and Riley as our flyer. We work on our stunt to where Riley does a round off back handspring into our arms and we lift her up into a needle. We cradle and then do our fulls. Me and Riley have this special part in the end and in the beginning. In the beginning, we are on opposite sides. We run and throw a round off back handspring double full and in the end we do a round off back handspring layout into a split. We start from the beginning and right as I am about to land my double full, I fall on my butt. "MK! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME YOU HAVE FALLEN IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS!AND WHEN YOU FALL AT COMPETITION AND WE LOSE, YOU'RE OFF THE TEAM!" Will screams from across the gym "PRACTICE IS OVER!" He screams and walks to his office "What a douche bag!" Me and Riley say at the same time. Riley comes over and helps me up. We walk outside and get in Cams car. "Well how was it?" Cam asked us "Well we worked on stunts, I fell on my butt when I tried to land my double full and coach screamed at me, told me if I did it again at comp. I was off the team and stormed out to his office." I state "Well always fun having a mad Will!" Cam said laughing "Hey MK? The guys are coming over tonight to have a sleepover, wanna come" Cam asked looking in the mirror "Yeah sure!" I said happily "YASSS I WON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE RETARDS ALONE!!!!" Riley screams giving me a high five. They drop me off at my house. I pack my bag and walk next door. I knock and Nash opens the door. I walk in to a straight up whipped cream war. It was EVERYWHERE!!! I duck right as a glob of it comes right for me. They're finally done and we wash up. "We're going up to my room to watch a movie but it's rated R so you guys can't watch it." Cam says "Okay we'll stay down here!" Hayes says "Hey when they're asleep,do you guys want to sneak out and go see unfriended?" Whispered Hayes "Yeah" me and Riley reply. The movie doesn't start til 12 and the guys fell asleep at 11. Around 11:30 we grabbed our penny boards and headed to the movies. We get our tickets and popcorn and sit down. The movie was funny to us, well I guess we were the only ones who found it funny. "Okay we need to be very quiet" Hayes whispered. We tip toe in and all of a sudden the door locks. "Riley, why did you lock the door?" I whispered behind me "Uh that wasn't me" Riley whispers beside me "Now where were y'all at 2:30 in the morning?" Asked a voice that could only come from one person...... Jack Johnson. "Shoot!" I mumble under my breath. We were all standing in the middle of the living room. Hayes and Riley look at each other and bolt to the door. "Thanks guys! Best friend award goes to the dipwads who left me!" I scream, idk when or how they got there but right before they could get to the door, Cam grabbed Riley and Nash grabbed Hayes "Well karma's a bitch now ain't it?" I say while smirking then Johnson picks me up like Hayes and Riley "Johnson! Let me down or I'm gonna stab you with a spoon!" I scream struggling to get from his grip "A spoon?" "Yes a spoon!". They put us in chairs and tied us up. Why am I always in situations where I get tied up? I thought "So, what were y'all doing out so late?" Cam asks us. Hayes and Riley look at me and I explain. "YOU WHAT!!" Cam screams, he gets a deep breath and calms down "So this is what's going to happen. Your parents will never know on one condition. You have to clean our rooms for a month" Can says smirking. I look at Riley then at Hayes "Deal!" We say at the same time. They untie us and we watched movies. Me and Riley went to bed early because of practice tomorrow.
*Next Day(Still MK's POV)*
"As you know, our competition is 2 days away!" Will screams "For these two days we will be perfecting our stunts and dance. Now go to your stunts and warm up" We stretch and practice. We start from the beginning and me and Riley start off. I see her land kinda weird and I can see she's about to cry. We go through our routine and me and Riley start off. "AHH!!"I hear after our layout. I see Riley on the ground holding her ankle. I run over to her and see that her ankle is already swelling "REALLY?! YOU HAD ONE JOB!!" Will screams "SHE COULD REALLY BE HURT, SO IF YOU DON'T HURRY AND GO CALL AN AMBULANCE I'LL BE SURE TO DO A NEEDLE RIGHT UP YOUR A-"I scream but Courtney covered my mouth. Will stood there for a second offended and eventually ran off and called the ambulance. They let me, Courtney and Lauren in the ambulance and I called the guys to tell them. We arrive and they take her to x-rays.
*1 hour later *
We've been here for an hour and we're really worried. "Riley Dallas?" A doctor says. We stand up and he begins "It was a small fracture and she will be fine, but she can't do any sports for a few weeks" "WHAT?! We have a competition in 2 days!" I exclaim "Well you have to find a replacement" the doctor says. We sign the papers and take Riley home. *2 days later*
Well we got a replacement for Riley and let me just say.....SHE'S TERRIBLE!!!! Instead of a needle,she ends up doing a dorito.When we do our double fulls, she does a full. She's off beat during the dance and it makes me want to punch her in the face. When we arrive at the place we go to the back and warm up. Brittany (our replacement) goes to the bathroom right before we go out "What are we going to do?!" Lauren says freaking out "Now we need a replacement for the replacement!" "Well look right in front of you!" Riley says fully dressed in her uniform and makeup "OH THANK GOD!!"Lauren screams hugging Riley and we all join. "AND NOW........THE BLUE DIAMONDS!!!" The announcer said. We run out and do our routine. We stand at the back of the stage while they say who won. We're all crossing our fingers and holding hands. "And in first place..............THE BLUE DIAMONDS!!" We all lost it. I can't believe we won. We all went out for pizza. We went home, took showers and went to bed. It had been a LONG day.
