[hello! Just a warning that this part is very much just angst and sadness! It's a filler for post 5x20 stris fight and pre 5x21 Stris. Enjoy 😬🫶🏻

The weekend passed and Luca returned home from his sailing trip with Olivia and Darcy.
As he'd entered the house, he'd hollered loudly about his arrival to find the house quiet.
Luca was just recalling whether he had actually seen Street's bike in the driveway or if he had imagined it. It wasn't that late, and it was a Sunday. Maybe his friend had just called it an early night.
Street had heard Luca arrive home through his closed bedroom door.
He'd spent the majority of the weekend catching up on sleep. He hadn't had any motivation, just sadness. He didn't want to see anyone and he had even turned his phone on do not disturb the whole time, only setting his alarm for shift tomorrow morning, when he would have to finally get ready to put up his facade.
Due to his notifications being muted, he had missed the text Chris had sent the team group chat that night, asking everyone to be ten minutes earlier to their shift tomorrow so she could talk to everyone about something.
The next morning, Luca had knocked on his door as he was leaving for shift to make sure he was awake, and Street had let him know he would make it on time and would meet him there.
Street dressed and grabbed his bag, keys and helmet as the start of 20 Squad's shift grew closer.
The ride in had Street dreading having to see everyone. Could he act like nothing was wrong? Or would it all come crashing down as soon as he saw her. How could he spend every day next to her and be okay. He drew a deep breath as he parked his bike and thought to himself, at least she'll be leaving soon.
"Don't worry, here he is!", Luca exclaimed as Street walked into the locker room, raising his eyebrows, finding the remainder of his teammates spread across the room, "okay, continue", Tan nodded to Chris who seemed to have everyone's attention.
Street kept his head down and reached his locker, opening it up. He couldn't look at her.
Chris cleared her throat, her eyes flickered to where Street stood at his locker, not paying any attention, then back to her team spread out around her.
Her stomach dropped seeing him finally. After their last conversation, she had spent the whole weekend trying not to think about him. She'd just quit her job and he had caught her in the parking lot. It wasn't great timing, she was upset over leaving SWAT and Mama Pina's diagnosis.
It was all too much, all at once. She couldn't think about any other change in that moment, bringing up their situation just shut her down.
She hated seeing how broken he looked when she couldn't say anything to him. He just wanted to know why? Why? Why? His anguished expression as he desperately asked her over and over. Why didn't she answer him? Why couldn't she tell him how she really felt?
"I asked you all to meet me here so I could tell everyone together that- Friday, I gave my two weeks notice. I am...leaving S.W.A.T", she finished, swallowing down her anxiety.
Silence filled the locker room as shocked faces stared back at her.
Street's head was still firmly buried within his locker.
Seeing everyone's expressions, that feeling of betrayal was creeping it's way in, she was letting them all down. Chris turned to Hondo who stood against the lockers, he nodded to her in support to continue explaining.
