As we walk out of the diner we realise how late it is, and the fact that the sun is about to set. "I've gotta go, will you two be ok on your own?" Steve asks. " we'll be fine, we won't need you to come and save us stevie." I sass back with a light chuckle. As he leave i see him turn towards me and smirk, hinting about my crush. He knows what he's done.
Neither of us own a car so we ended up walking back home. Luckily when Hawkins isn't being attacked by the upside down it's a pretty safe place.
We walked to hers in almost complete silence, it wasn't awkward but pleasant. But a few times I felt her hand brush up against mine which filled my body with sparks and an adrenaline rush. God I hope she feels the same way. I sneak looks at her every so often and a few times I catch her looking back. It almost gives me some hope. "So, Steve was telling me you're in band. I wish I could play an instrument, I can just about sing but that's it." I fill the silence. " Oh yea, I you want I could teach you to play?" She answers. My face lights up with hope. Was Robin Buckley inviting me to her house!? "That would be so cooll. Do you mind, I would love to learn." I say. She nods her head then opens the door to her house. By the fact there are no cars outside I guess that we are alone. Alone. With my crush. This is going to be great.
We sit in her warm-toned room, on her bed as we chat about our lives and she teaches me the chords to the guitar. Most of the time I'm not even listening, I just watch her in amazement, and pretend I'm listening. Then, breaking our moment, I hear my brothers voice come from inside my bag. "OI YOU NEED TO BE HOME IN THE NEXT 10 MINUTES OR MUM IS GONNA FREAK THE FUCK OUT."
"Yea, yea ok I'll be home in 10, calm your tits." I sarcasticily answer back at him. Robin chuckles and offers to walk me home. But I decline, not wanting to be awkward.

As soon as I open the door I'm hit with my mum shouting at me about "the dangers of being alone at night." I tell her I wasn't alone and that I was with a friend. Which leads to an interrigaton on who this 'friend' is. I explain who Robin is and how I know her- leaving out the saving america part, of course.
I flop onto my bed after putting on the new Queen album and let my mind wander. Suddenly I hear my music pause and look up to see Dustin looking down at me. "OI what was that for!" I shout. " why didn't you tell me." He interrogates me. " tell you what??" I ask confused.
