--- A month later ---
Jack's POV
The wedding had been beautiful. It had been the day I was released from the care of the healers. Hans had officially fled the kingdom after I put up a bunch of wanted signs about him. Elsa had moved into the castle with me. I made sure she had anything she wanted or needed, but she didn't want much.
I was in the ball room where we had first kissed. It was empty at the moment. I looked around, remembering all of the memories.
"Is something wrong Jack?" Elsa asked. I looked up. She was standing at the top of the stairs, one hand on her stomach. She was wearing a beautiful sparkling blue dress and silver crown. Her stomach was already very big, showing that she was well into her pregnancy.
"No, just remembering the ball." I said. She walked the rest of the way down the stairs and joined me in the middle of the ball room.
"That was certainly an interesting night." Elsa agreed.
"Do you remember everything that happened?" I asked.
"Not everything, but a fair amount." She said.
"Do you remember this part?" I asked, kissing her. She kissed me back.
"Ahem." A voice said. I turned around and stared at the speaker. It was Madame Jewl.
"I came to remind you of something you seem to have forgotten. But no worries." Madame Jewl said.
"And what would that be?" I asked sharply.
"Well, as Elsa is one of my daughters, I came to ask about the rooms in the castle for the rest of our humble family, as well as the key to the family vault." She explained. I glared at her. How greedy and vain was this woman?
"No." I said simply.
"No?" Madame Jewl repeated in surprise.
"There will be no rooms in the castle for you or your daughters, and you will not be given a key to the treasury." I clarified. Madame Jewl started to turn red.
"You would cheat me out of the family inheritance?" She growled.
"You are not part of this family. You never submitted the proper files for adopting Elsa, therefor she is not part of your family. That reminds me... Elsa, do you think Anna would want a room in the castle?" I asked.
"I'm sure we can ask her about it." Elsa said with a smile. Madame Jewl turned even more red, looking like she was about to explode. Them she turned around and stormed out of the castle.
"Think she'll be back?" Elsa asked.
"No. I'll make sure the guards know she and her daughters are not allowed on castle grounds." I said.
"Thank you Jack." Elsa said, hugging me.
"Don't worry about it. I promised I would always protect you. Why would I stop now?" I asked. Elsa smiled.
"This is our happily ever after." I reminded her with a kiss.
