PROLOGUE

the summer is what all maeve thought about when she was younger wanting to go to cousins beach with her mom and dad , belly , Jeremiah, Steven , Conrad.

she loved all of them especially her bestfriends they did almost everything together when they were younger didn't care about anything else then when they started to get older belly started developing a crush on conrad she was the youngest out of all of them but she liked conrad ever since they were ten.

but Maeve always liked him since they knew what a crush was they were the best friends the closest out of everyone basically they did everything together he was her rock talked to him about everything and anything the same was for him it was the same when they got older but became more difficult and differently.

they were fifth teen when thing got more difficult for Maeve her parents started arguing more and more louder got more worse throughout time to the point they started throwing stuff but still staying together maeve started to think it was normal for couples to do this cause she witnessed it in her house right in front of her eyes.

then her dad started to drink every day constant loop of them throwing stuff arguing they only stayed together cause they didn't want to hurt maeve

but one night Maeve's dad was drunk her mom out somewhere her dad called to get her down stairs and that night changed her life forever for the worst.

she knew only one person she needed and that was conrad she called and texted crying and all the messages was on read read and read.

nothing even the next day later from him or the next or the next never heard back from him her ghosted her is what Maeve felt when she needed him most.

then she had no one her mom fell into drinking as well sneaking out arguing with dad throwing stuff that was all Maeve heard so she couldn't handle it anymore so she fell into drinking as well with drugs and smoking.

she felt alone has no one beside her felt like she was turning into her parents.

she was now seventeen and got a call from the one person she hasn't spoke to for two years Susannah wanting one more summer at cousins beach with everyone.
