The gang picked me up from home and we went to the tavern. Since Emil lived there, we didn't have to pick him up. The tavern was three streets away from my house, so it was a short walk. Most buildings were four streets away since Berk was a small village. The tavern was in the middle of the village, with some stores and the smith. Our healer was located at the north western corner of the village, the highest point of the village. It wasn't ideal if we had to carry an injured person to her, but she refused to move and we did not have another healer. How nice.

On our way to the tavern, I was ever so slightly nervous. I absolutely hated it.

Emil was already sitting at a table. 'Hey, let's go outside.' Astrid said to Emil.

Tuffnut put his arm around Emil's shoulder and said: 'Your name is Emil right, I'm Tuffnut, I'm the leader of the pack' Emil took a step back.

'In your dreams.' Astrid said.

'Uhm, yeah, what are your guys' names? I already know Hiccup and Astrid.' Emil said.

Astrid shook her head. 'That's Fishlegs, he is the guy you need to go to for fun facts. Him over there is Snotlout, he never listens. The guy invading your personal space already introduced himself and that his sister is Ruffnut, but I think you had the brother and sister thingy already figured out.'

'Hey,' Snotlout said, 'I do listen!' We all gave him a doubting face. 'Ok, ok. Sometimes.'

'You're getting closer.' Fishlegs said.

Ruffnut walked to Emil. 'I'm sure you are thrilled to meet our dragons, they are so cute. And after that we are going to take you on a ride!'

'Uhm, I don't know.' Emil said.

'If you don't want to fly, that's fine, but since you are going to live here, I think you should at least meet our dragons. I promise they won't bite.' I said. Emil made a long face.

'Hiccup is right, you should get used to them.' Fishlegs said.

'Could we start with a small dragon then?' Emil asked.

Snotlout laughed. 'Are you sure? The small ones don't listen and are the wildest, but be my guest.'

'Can we just wait for a while before we do that, I'm just not ready yet.'

'They won't...' started Astrid, but I lay my hand on her shoulder to silence her.

'If he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to. Maybe another day. Let's give him a tour through our village. On the other side of the street you can see a shop. There you can buy all the stuff involving yaks.' We headed to the shop.

'There you see the yak fields. It was one of mine and Tuffnut's favorite places to play when we were younger. And with playing I of course mean annoying the yaks. The older ones still run away from us. Beautiful memories.' Ruffnut said.

'They are harder to catch than you think.' Tuffnut added 'We could only keep up with them if we were together.'

'You are awful. Once they scared off a yak into the ditch. We needed four of the strongest men to get him out!' Fishlegs said. Tuffnut and Ruffnut laughed.

'Ok, that was kinda sad, but we didn't do it on purpose.' Ruffnut said.

'We live in the house opposite to the smith. Next to the yak fields.' Tuffnut pointed towards their house. 'Oh and the smith is that building next to this shop, but I guess you figured, it's not hard to see that's a smith. Although I didn't, hmm.'

'Yeah, I figured. You don't have a lot of weapons on display, strange. Our smith was filled with weapons.' Emil said.

'That's because we don't fight the dragons anymore. We primarily make equipment for dragons or tools. I work there.' I said.

'Wait you are a smith?' Emil said.

'Yes! I know I'm not the strongest, but I'm quite good at it.' I looked away. Normally it didn't bother me, but now it was Emil who said it.

'No, no, that was not what I meant, I thought you were too busy with the dragons for that.' Emil said. I gave him an awkward nod with my lips pressed against each other so he would stop about it.

Snotlout broke the silence. 'The house opposite to the tavern is mine, two houses apart from the twins. Let's turn back towards Hiccup's house, not much to see here.' We all agreed.

When we passed the tavern Emil was sitting in front of it, cleaning his shoes. He was small. Most girls liked tall guys, and sure, being tall can also look good, but him being small fitted him. I wouldn't change his height if I could.

Astrid gave me a poke in the side. I turned my head towards her. 'Hey, why did you do that?' The others heard it and looked at us. Astrid shrugged her shoulders. When nobody looked at us, she tapped on my shoulder. I gestured: What? A smile appeared on her face and she looked me in the eyes, then looked at Emil, raised her eyebrows and brought her gaze back to me. I stiffened. How did she find out so soon? I didn't know what to do, so I shook my head and looked away.

Great! Would she believe me if I told she was wrong? Or did I just make it more obvious? Should I say something?! I'll just deny it. She can't prove anything, right?. She wouldn't betray me, or would she? Maybe she thinks she is helping by telling my dad. Datada, I'm dead.
