Teresa's POV

6 months later...

"Teresa, dear, Monsieur McOwen has this package for you," Elizabeth said as she came into my room.

"What is it?"

"I don't know, sweetheart." She smiled and nodded at me, placing the big cardboard box at the edge of the bed. I stood up from my chair, shutting off the computer system as I came in front of her.

Since I had been injured and pregnant, I adopted a work from home working style and started spending more time at home, which was amazing. I could spend my free time as I wanted to. Some days, I used to finish work before lunch and Mark would drive me to Alex's office and we used to have lunch together. Elizabeth and I had bonded well in that period, too. We talked and talked and I had convinced her that Monsieur McOwen is not as heartless as he seemed. She had no family, no husband and her son lived in Australia, so she would spend most of her day with us in our home.

"Oh, okay, thank you. I will call you if I need anything." She went back to her temporary room with an innocent old age smile. I reached forward and pulled the golden ribbon from the box.

A card attached to the box, hidden beneath the golden lace, grabbed my attention. I pulled out the card and flipped it open with furrowed brows. A smile formed my lips unconsciously as I saw Alex's italic handwriting on the card.

Get ready, my love. Tonight we are going out for dinner and your lovely pregnancy photoshoot. I will wait for you in the driveway at 8 pm.
Yours forever, Choco pie

The smile I had on my face turned into a full-grown grin, from ear to ear as my heart started jumping out of the chest, peeking at the reason behind the sudden rush of happy hormones. I opened the box lid, and- oh god! This couldn't be true.

Looking at the time from my wristwatch, I gathered I had three hours to get ready, so I rushed into the bathroom and took a super quick shower, the grin on my face never leaving its place. A photoshoot. I had been blabbering about it with him in our late-night conversations that how much I wished to show off my baby bump and do a perfect model-like pregnancy photoshoot. With him. I used to show him the pictures and professional photographs as well.

I stood in front of the mirror with the bare minimum knowledge of makeup in front of me. The dress- uff! Why does he have to be such good taste in everything! I picked the brushes which felt like a sword and I was the soldier in her very first war. With determination from inner voices, I nodded to myself in the mirror and started attacking my face. Once the assault was over, I was satisfied with pink and silver eye makeup and a little blush over my cheekbones. The peach shade nude lipstick fit just complimented the entire look, and I rushed over to curl my hair in beach waves.

Once satisfied, I rubbed a hand on my watermelon-sized baby bump, as I twirled in front of a mirror. "How does mommy look?"

As if on cue, I felt a kick in my stomach. "Isn't mommy the most beautiful girl in the world?" Kick.

"And isn't papa the best in the world?" Kick.

I nodded. "We are going to click so many pictures of you today. Will you be the wonderful baby for mommy and papa?" Kick.

I nodded again, smiling at myself as I exited the vanity area and headed to the bed, where the box with the most gorgeous dress was looking at me as if to hypnotize and pull me to itself with a string attached to my waist. I opened the lid, and I guess I saw hearts dancing around my head. The dress was baby pink colour in a mermaid style with maxi length. The off-shoulder clothing material hanging down with flowery pattern lace. I picked up the dress and slid into it.
