Hey everyone!

I hope you all will love this chapter.

Loads of love to you!

Teresa’s POV

“How are you feeling today?” Doctor Rachel asked. She had been so kind to me, and the man sitting at the edge of the bed. At least she tried to be civil with him. Why would she not? Whenever there was a sound as low as a painful sigh, he called her or nurses and turned the entire hospital upside down. My heart swelled at his extra caring behaviour, but I had no other way of saying this than that he annoyed the fuck out of me.

It’s been 10 days since the incident, and the reports had come clean. The doctor had recommended a good amount of bed rest, besides the point that everything was good and the baby was as healthy as it should be. I guess Alex took the meaning of bed rest to another level. He carried me in bridal style to the bathroom breaks, fed me food with his own hands, and massaged my scalp. All extents of his terminology for bed rest crossed when I stood by myself near the open window when he was not there. And dare I say when he came back… let’s just pretend I liked donkeys singing more than Alex’s scolding.

Nodding, I smiled at Rachel. “Better than before.”

She checked the monitors, and her hands reached towards the back of my palm. Fucking finally. I grinned from ear to ear as she removed the needle, replacing it with a bandage, and I wasted no time reaching out for the other hand as I pulled out the oximeter string from my index finger.

Ah! What a relief. I feel weightless.

Dr Rachel chuckled while moving her head from left to right. “Okay, so you are good to go home Miss Teresa, but few instructions before that.”

“Hold on,” Alex said, rushing towards the bench next to me as he pulled out- Oh god!

“You are kidding, right?”

“What? Why would I do that? I already gave you a kid, remember?” He said, taking a pen from Rachel’s hand and opening the file named ‘Do’s/Don’ts of TS aftercare’

“Stop playing word games!”

He raised his eyebrows at me, sending the icy glares and then shifting his attention towards the file.

Rachel cleared her throat, an amused smile plastering over her lips as her eyes danced from me to Alex, then from Alex to me. For some strange reason, I had this urge of strangling any woman who looked at Alex for over 1 millisecond. Setting aside the wish of twisting Rachel’s head in a semicircle, I nodded at her.

“You will remain on a very healthy and nutritious diet. No heavy activities for your first trimester. You will come after one week for a full body checkup and injuries. If there is itching on the bruises, do not scratch them. As for the stitches on your leg, I will remove them on your next visit because your wound was not so deep. As for strengthening the uterus, increase the content of dairy products, salmon and greek yoghurt for a healthy placenta. Since you are not lactose intolerant, I would recommend a glass of milk every night too. Also, as your boyfriend has formed his version of the diet chart, here is a diet plan for you made by a professional.”

“Do I have to follow it?”

“Yes, you do. But do not control the urge of pregnancy cravings,” she said.

“Can I eat chocolates now?”

“Yes,”

“No,”

Guess who said no?

Right! The Alex the McOwen.

I clenched my jaw, my fingers curling into a fist as I sent him the same amount of death glare he did moments ago. Fortunately, he was a smart man and said nothing afterwards.
