Shit she thought turning her tarot cards over, this was the sixth time its said this today but she didn't want to believe the message. Maybe her magic was off or at least she hoped.

All day she had been drawing the death card, now it wasn't as bad as it seems she knew it didn't mean actual death, but it did foretell a major change in her life. The death of this phase of her life and the beginning of a new phase and she wasn't ready for such a big change right now.

She was happy with how things were going, she had a job she enjoyed and her two best friends Frank and Ray kept things fun as they were always upto something chaotic. They worked with her at the little spiritual shop in town and were the only ones who knew she was a real witch, well other than the owner Haylea but she was a witch too so her secret was safe there.

Haylea was much more powerful witch than she was and she looked up to her greatly. She had been helping her learn new spells and was more of a friend than an employer. She was beautiful too, with her long brown wavy hair and kind nature everyone flocked around her. She was a nature witch and often animals would wander into the shop to come see her. They spent many a night closing late late just chatting about everything and everything.

It wasn't a busy job and they didnt get many customers in other than the odd curious teenager or someone from out of town, they had a few magic workers come in now and again but there wasn't many like her here. They all enjoyed it though as they all got to spend the day hanging out together and chatting.

Frank was the feral one of the group, he didn't have any powers but she often wished he did as he was always getting himself injured someway or another. He was small with messy brown hair and was covered in an array of tattoos that gave him this rock star vibe. He played guitar pretty well but had never found the right bunch to finally get a band together though he sometimes jammed out with Ray.

Ray was much taller and much more sensible, well to a degree. He still caused the right amount of chaos when he was around her and Frank. He had this mop of long curly hair with a kind smile and she had been teaching him some magic on the side as he came from magic on his mums side and had only just wanted to explore that side of him.

She picked up the tarot deck and shoved it back in the draw wondering what this big change was going to mean, surely it wouldn't impact her friends. She might ask Ray to help when she got to work and do a reading for her and see if they could get more answers.

Shit, thinking of work she better get going or she was going to be late again! Haylea was pretty laid back about it all but she had warned her she needed to start getting there on time, she had been late a lot recently but didn't see why it was such an issue it's not like they had many customers anyway. She grabbed her bag and headed out.

Arriving at the shop Haylea was there tapping her watch and she just hurried past her to put her bag down behind the counter while mouthing sorry. She knew Haylea couldn't stay mad at her but she would try to be on time she never wanted to disappoint her. Frank and Ray were already there, Ray was busy rearranging the items on the counter and Frank was just sitting at the end of it looking bored as usual.

'Hey guys' she said pleased as always to see them.

'You cut that fine, remember what we spoke about Alex. Right I need to go sort some online orders out please try and keep the chaos to a minium!' Haylea said with a warning glance at her before walking out the back to the office. Haylea loved the chaos really, she must have to have kept them employed for the last two years.

'Ray, I need your help reckon you could do a reading for me?' She asked and poked him In the arm to get his attention away from the crystals he was moving around.
