Holding Back

On the rooftop Jordan and Simone have finished their little night picnic and are now lying down on the little blanket admiring the sky.

"I lied." Jordan says to Simone as her head rests on his chest." "About what?" she asks looking up at him. "Today was an occasion. It marks a year since we got back together." He says moving her hair to the back. "Jordan I'm sorry. I just-" she's stopped by him kissing her. "Babe it's okay. It's been a lot going on. Sharing this moment with you right now is all that matters." He says smiling at her. She smiles back and kisses him again.

"Have I ever told you I'm in love with you Jordan Baker?" She says still smiling as they hold each other. "I don't know... maybe you should say it now just in case." He says with a grin. She laughs. "I'm in love with you." she says smiling. "And I'm in love with you." He says back. The two smile and look into each other's eyes for awhile. They both lean in a little closer and kiss and hold hands as the stars shine above them.

A few weeks later it's time for the dinner that Laura has had planned since Jordan and Simone got engaged. With only a day until the wedding it's time for one more celebration. Guests are still arriving and dinner is almost ready. Spencer and Olivia wait in the car outside the Baker home.

"So we gonna go in or sit in here all night?" Spencer asks as his wife is scrolling through her phone. Liv sighs and turns her phone off. "I just know my mom invited Layla and Asher to "fix us" and I really don't wanna deal with that tonight." She says frustrated. "Listen whatever happens tonight just know I won't leave your side. Any moment you feel uncomfortable tonight just squeeze my hand." He says reassuring her.

She looks at him and smiles the way she always does and nods. He exits the car and walks to her side, opens the door and offers her his hand. She grabs it and they head into the house. Once inside the couple is met with Layla, Asher and a camera crew. "What the f-" Liv is stopped mid-sentence with a tight hug from Layla. Once Layla lets go Liv adjusts herself and sees Simone signal for her and Spencer to meet her upstairs. Liv taps Spencer and they run up the steps.

Once upstairs they see a frustrated Jordan and Simone. "What the hell is camera crew doing here??" Liv asks peeking downstairs. "Our mother agreed to let Asher and Layla bring their camera crew tonight." Jordan says annoyed. "Listen I'm about a millisecond away from going off! This is supposed to be a night about me and Jordan not the Layla and Asher spectacular. Babe we should just sneak out the back and go home." Simone says stressed. "No! We are not gonna let this ruin our night." Jordan says grabbing Simone's hands.

"J is right. Tonight is about y'all. Just tell Layla and Asher to call of the cameras." Spencer says. Liv nods in agreement. "Fine. Let's go tell them." Before the couples can walk back down they hear Laura shout. "Jordan and Simone!!" "Shit. That doesn't sound good." Jordan says. Both couples head down the steps to the living room where a slideshow is being shown of Jordan and Simone. Once they fully look at the photo they see the picture of the secret wedding that was held months prior. "Does somebody wanna explain this??" Laura says angrily. Both couples are speechless as the cameras are rolling.
