Align the stars

If I could just align the stars

to form the fate that should've been ours.

Where we had never met.

Where we had never touched.

Where we had never kissed.

Where we had never said "I love you."

Because that was the fate, we were supposed to have.

Unfortunately, my love;

I could not align the stars to our favour.

We met.
We touched skin to skin.
We kissed each others wounds.
We cut ourselves with "I love you's."

I wish I could've reached up higher to each star,

gently moving them like puzzle pieces.
Sliding them across,
to where they're supposed to be.
Where they really belong,
there it is- the picture of our fate.
