Hogwarts Au!
Slytherin! Jimin
Gryffindor! Jungkook

What's a one-shot book without a Hogwarts AU? You should've expected it sooner or later. But I did try not to implement too many references from the books or movies.

Set after the Second Wizarding War and BTS are around the same age, otherwise, it'd be a bit awkward.

"After the second Wizarding War, the Ministry of Magic legislated the use of spells below the legal age of 17 in emergencies. What I ask of you is that you pair up with a partner to devise the pros and cons of this recent development.", Professor Alkovic droned.

She was notorious for being a substitute for sleeping draughts. Not one student seemed to be paying attention nor did she heed these students any attention as she strictly adhered to the predefined curriculum. She did not care whether or not her students passed the class as long as she progressed in the curriculum.

Only one student seemed to be partly awake but occupied otherwise.

His Slytherin tie lay smartly against his chest

His name was Park Jimin.

One of the most desirable boys in Hogwarts as well as a Slytherin 6th-year prefect. It was in vain to try and ignore his presence because he was all people fawned over whenever he passed them in the corridors.

A smirk. Thud. Unconscious.

A repetitive pattern Jimin had gotten used to any time he smiled at a girl or boy alike.

It was not a secret that he was popular among the student body. Teachers were informed of such as well.

Despite enjoying such fame, he was uncharacteristically resentful of people not interested in him.

An example: Jeon Jungkook.

This particular boy with his 'obnoxious red and gold tie' was sat in front of Jimin along with his bench mate Kim Taehyung.

Both of them were snoring soundly, heads resting on their arms, their textbooks on the brink of falling off the edge.

Being the only one awake had its benefits, meaning Jimin had the liberty of closely observing the boy in front of him.

"Jimin, would you like to pair up with me?", a small voice whispered behind him.

Nevermind. Apparently, not all students had been in a state of fatigue.

"No, he shouldn't be around the likes of you. He prefers me." another haughty female voice drawled. A fellow Slytherin.

Inwardly cringing at their self-granted insertion in his social life, he still painted a smile on his face. "Girls, girls. No fighting. Wouldn't want to lose house points, would you?" Bullshit. Alkovic could not care less about the deduction of house points, but it seemed to defuse the situation.

"Whereas I do not mind your chosen partner", Alkovic's rather monotone voice raised in its volume and for once sounded equivalent to that of a teacher. Hence, many heads were raised at the rare break in the soothing atmosphere. "Headmistress McGonagall values the promotion of house unity as much as possible. Therefore, I must randomly assign pairs of pupils belonging to different houses."

As opposed to the past, the notion was met with less disdain. Interhouse unity had been a longstanding project suggested by the Headmistress and had even been officially acknowledged by the Ministry of Magic, so many had already habitually expected a random pair-up.

Jimin had been hoping to be paired up with his mate Taehyung in front of him, but it wouldn't be a cliché Hogwarts romance without forced proximity with his enemy.
