This part can be read separately aswell, but it would be good if you knew about what happened in the past.
The soft spring wind raked through his hair, the weather clear and bright. The melancholy of the park added on to his pleasure. It was a perfect day.
He pat his expensive suit, getting rid of excess material while sitting on a bench. The cherry blossoms in front of him were blooming and he watched as several couples stopped to take a picture.
The ringing of his phone disturbed the peaceful atmosphere.
"Mr. Jeon, we need you at the company now."
"Where's Yoongi? I set him up for watching the place while I'm gone."
"Someone wants to see you and they have a child with them."
The man named Mr. Jeon was confused as to who his secretary could've meant. He didn't know anyone with a child. "Who is this person?"
"I'll ask him Mr. Jeon.", her voice faded and he waited for a while. "He says his name is Park Jimin?"
A feeling of nostalgia overcame him, but it soon turned sour. "May I know what he is doing here?"
"He wants to talk to you."
"Okay. Tell him I'm on my way."
"Will do, Mr. Jeon.", she hung up.
Sighing, Jungkook rubbed his forehead. What did his former teacher want from him? Jungkook had decided to leave what they did in the past forgotten, as he had seen that it hadn't been right. He had understood why Jimin did what he did as he slowly got older. The pressure of society forcing you to be straight was a huge problem and it wasn't easy for Jimin to leave his wife.
The word wife still infuriated him in some kind of way. He hadn't found someone after Mr. Park and Mr. Park's wife was also the reason he didn't have someone.
Not wanting to overthink anymore, he left to go to his company that had successfully grown in just a few years. He still remembered when he was alone, only Taehyung by his side when his company flopped. It was a disaster. People were willing to help him, though, which is the reason why he was so successful.
The drive to his company was rather unsettling to Jungkook because why would Jimin come to him after all these years?
His employees greeted him and saw him rushing to his office.
When he was about to open the door to his office, he heard the voice of a child laughing and the oh so familiar voice he had missed dearly. Jungkook was over Jimin, but Jimin's voice was as soothing and deep as it was and it brought shivers to his spine.
"Mr. Park?", he said as he entered.
The pair went silent. Jimin's eyes started glistening when he saw Jungkook. He had become so tall and mature. A real adult.
"Appa, is that the guy you constantly talk about?", Jimin shushed him with a laugh. "Yea it is."
The little interaction between father and child made Jungkook smile, but his lips pursed into a line as he had to remind himself why he was here.
"Mr. Park, may I ask you why you decided to visit? You're not an employee nor do we have any connection."
The 'nor do we have any connection' hit Jimin hard. He really did hurt Jungkook alot.
"I'm sorry that I came on an unexpected note. It's just that I need help. Things haven't been easy. I've asked everyone around me, but they can't help forever. My only solution was you.", Jimin started.
