I woke up early that morning to get ready for the date. Everyone in this house, usually won't get up will around 10:30 or later. My family likes to sleep in, obviously. I went to the bathroom, stripped to nothing as I then jumped in the shower. When I finished, I dried myself off as I then threw on a simple blue crop top and white high waisted shorts as well as white vans. I checked the time: 9:48am.
Its almost time. I told myself silently.
For some reason, I feel as if Hayes is still my boyfriend but he's not. But, I think I should dress nice because honestly? I couldn't sleep a lot last night because I realized that I miss Hayes. I miss his compliments, his laugh, his piercing blue eyes, his hugs. Everything. I miss him.
A knock then echoed through the house.
It's him. . .
I smiled at the thought of seeing him. I ran down to answer the door.
"Hey." I answered, immediately hugging him. He was shocked by my surprise hug.
"Oh, hey." He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my small waist. "Nice to finally get a hug from you." Hayes smiled as he hugged me tighter.
"I was thinking the same thing." I smiled as I let go, even though I never wanted to let go.
"Ready to walk to the park?" Hayes smiled as he offered my hand. I took it happily.
"Of course." I chuckled as we walked out of the door.
