"Come on, Sarah. Please?" Hayes begged, standing up after we finished eating.
"Hayes." I sighed looking up at him. He gave me puppy dog eyes, until I caved in. "Fine." I chuckled as I got him to help me up.
Hayes walked over and climbed to a small platform above the wood floor. On that platform is a rope to the side where you can swing off of and land in a small area of hay.
"You going first?" Hayes asked with the rope in hand. I have him a 'are you serious' look.
"You dragged me into this and you ask if I want to go first?" I laughed, slightly nudging his arm.
"Okay." He said slowly, "I guess I'm going first. Or." Hayes stretched the word or.
"What are you thinking?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Do you trust me?" He asked.
"Well, yeah. Of course."
"Good." Hayes then quickly wrapped his arm around me as he jumped off the edge as I screamed and laughed until we landed on the hay.
"Hayes!" I laughed, laying down then gently hitting his arm.
"What?" He smiled, leaning down to kiss me. I reverted my head. "Hey." He chuckled. "That's cold." Hayes hovered over me, looking in my eyes.
"I wasn't ready." I crossed my arms in front of my chest. Hayes leaned down again to kiss me. I didn't revert my head.
"Ready to go again?" I smiled after the kiss. Hayes nodded and he helped me stand up. I then raced him as I quickly climbed up the platform. Since it wasn't too high off the ground, Hayes just used his upper body strength to pull him up.
"I'm going first and don't push me." I pointed at him as he threw his hands up in surrender.
"Okay. I won't." Hayes smiled.
"Promise?" I asked, hold out my pinky with one hand and the rope in another.
"Promise." He smiled, interlocking fingers.
Carefully, I grabbed the rope and swung off into the hay. Hayes was right behind me.

In the background of our laughter, I heard a loud rumble of thunder.
"Might get some rain soon." I stated obviously, looking outside the barn. The clouds were grey, dimming the outdoors. It was quite dark outside with the clouds covering the sun.
"Yeah." Hayes and I continued to watch as it slowly began to rain. The rain began to fall harder.
"Are we staying in here till the storm passes?" I asked, curious.
"Unless you want to run in the rain." Hayes smirked.
"Let's go." I stood up and helped Hayes up.
We stood under the doorway between being outside and being in the barn. Hayes's hand then brushed against mine as they quickly intertwined. I saw a massive streak of lightning then a long rumble shortly after. I held his hand tighter.
"Don't like thunderstorms?" Hayes asked, rubbing my hand with his thumb. I shook my head.
"No, never liked them when I was younger and I still don't like them." I chuckled.
"You're fine. You have me." Hayes smiled, kissing my forehead. "Ready?" Hayes asked, I nodded.
"Only if you are." He nodded too.
"Three. Two. One!" When I counted down to one we both held hands as we ran though the pouring rain. We both laughed as we ran together.
"Tag! Your it!" I said as I tapped his shoulder.

We are eighteen but act as if we're eight.

Quickly, he went after me. Instead of tapping me, he slipped on the wet grass, grabbing me and taking me down too.
"Oops." Hayes smirked, looking at me. I smirked back as I stood up. "Help me up too." As he asked, I helped him up. I stared into Hayes's eyes as we were now completely drenched from head to toe. Slowly, we both leaned in.
Even though this is a total stereotypical moment but still. I know it meant a lot for the both of us.

-

"Wet enough?" Cameron asked, when Hayes and I walked back in the house, holding hands.
"Yeah. Just ran in the rain." I smiled, looked up at Hayes. All the guys and my parents were all sitting in the living room, chatting with each other until we walked in.
"Yeah, we know." Matt smirked. "I saw." Matt smiled and winked.
"We were all watching." Carter laughed as everyone else did too. I blushed and looked down.
"I'm glad you to got back together." Nash smiled.
"Spark to a flame, guys. What did I tell you?" Matt brought it up again. "I'm right, aren't I?" He smirked, waiting for a yes.
"Yes you were." Hayes and I said in unison.

"Sarah, Hayes. Go dry off so you two don't get sick." My mom shooed us away. We both chuckled as we nodded and left. There were two bathrooms in the house so we each took one to dry off and change out of our wet clothes.
When I finished drying off, I went back in the living room where everyone was, including Hayes.
"Sarah?" Nash asked, just as I walked in. I looked at him, giving him a look so he can continue. "There's a party going to be happening. All the guys are going. You and Hayes want to come too? Since now you two can officially drink." Nash chuckled. I looked over at Hayes, he shrugged his shoulders.
"Doesn't matter to me. You choose." He smiled, slightly chuckling.
"Sure. We'll go." I smiled looking at Nash. "When's the party?" I asked, curious.
"Tomorrow night at eight." Cameron answered. I nodded my head as Hayes did too.

"I don't know what you kids are doing tonight but we're going to bed. It's late." My mom said as she made her way to us, probably to give me a goodnight kiss and hug or something. I chuckled, hearing her call us kids.
"Mom, we're not kids anymore. We're all over eighteen." I chuckled, giving her a hug. I wrapped my arms around her neck. I'm able to do that easily because I'm quite taller than her.
"I don't care how old you all are, you are all going to be my kids." My mom disconnected, pointing to me then the rest of the guys. It makes me smile to know that my mom really loves all of my friends. Guy or girl. Basically if they're my friends, they're her kids. No matter how long she has known them.
"Good night everyone, love you all." My mom smiled as she was walking up the stairs to her and my dads bedroom.
"Goodnight, love you too." Filled the room after she spoke that. We all laughed how we all said that in unison.
"Your mom is literally the best mom is the whole universe." Matt laughed. "I wish my mom was like that."
"Hey, be thankful that you actually have a mom who loves you." I stated, pointing a finger at him.
"I am very thankful that I have a loving mother too." Matt playfully snapped back at me.
"We should play truth or dare." Cameron suggested. We all then agreed.
