Chapter 9

"Taehyungie~ Are you sure that you want to stay here?" Kim Seokjin cautiously asks his long time no seen friend.

After the whole fuss in the kitchen, Jimin and Taehyung brought the agitated Jin in Junghwoon's bedroom. Above all, Taehyung wants to talk with the older so it's a great opportunity.

"I'm sorry hyung but I can't leave Junghwoon"

Taehyung is not a great liar. Not when it comes to the people he loves. He always has this ugly feeling in his chest each time he lies to them. And that's the case of right now, Taehyung feels likes shit for not being able to share everything with Jin. He knows that the older must be very confused but he's just too scared of Junghwoon. He doesn't his father or himself to get hurt.

"Is it because of money? Or because you don't have a house. We can help you just so you know." Jimin suddenly jumps in.

Jimin is not yet very close to Taehyung but he just has this urge to help the older.

A small smile instantly escapes Taehyung's lips at the younger's generous offer.

Nonetheless, Taehyung just briefly declined the offer and plainly explained that he can't leave because of a personal reason.

Jimin didn't force him afterwards, just sadly nods, respecting Taehyung's decision even if it seems confusing.

Jin on the other hand, couldn't hide his discontentment. Nevertheless, he still gave up on convincing Taehyung to move out.

"Just take care of yourself then. I may visit you more often just to make sure that Jungkook no longer hurt you" Jin explains.

Since he couldn't convince Taehyung in coming with him, he can at least make sure that his friend is safe while staying with Jungkook. Jin knows that it sounds like a stupid and impossible mission but he will try to. He has to protect Taehyung at all cost.

"I will, hyung. I've been trying to stay alive since I first came here and I will continue in doing so" Taehyung snorts but deep down, Jin is well aware that Taehyung means every single words of what he just said.

For days, Taehyung has dealt with Jungkook's anger outbursts and Junghwoon's possessive behavior. He struggled a lot but at least he had Yoongi- wait

"Where is Yoongi?!" Taehyung doesn't know why he turns his head towards Jimin's direction as if to ask the latter that question directly.

"Junghwoon told him to go to Busan to take care of some businesses. I'm sorry because Yoongi told me to inform you but it literally slipped out of my mind" Jimin apologetically says.

"Well, he could've just called me. I'm relieved that he's alive" Taehyung scoffs but Jimin frowns at him.

"What do you mean? Why shouldn't he be alive??"

"I just thought that Jungkook killed him or something" Taehyung simply confess which caused gaspes to exit Jimin and Jin's mouths.

Both are taken aback by Taehyung's reply. I mean, they know that Jungkook can be violent but not that much to be able to kill someone.

"Jungkook may be scary but he's not a killer" Jimin suddenly feels like defending the younger.

Jungkook is still the man he loves so hearing Taehyung say that he's capable of killing someone is- well disturbing to hear.

"Honestly, what did he do to you? Can you please tell me what the fuck happened? You looked so scared of him back in the kitchen?!" Jin worriedly asks.
