"LET GO OF ME!"
Matthew and Jessy stood before the man without a face in shock. He wasn't alone.
He got Lilly. At knife-point. She was hysterically crying...
"Matthew, what do we do...?" Jessy whispered, scared.
"Breathe, Jessy...Don't move a muscle..."
Time felt like it was frozen as the four stood in the room, until a noise approached. It was Dan, rolling in his wheelchair until he saw what was happening, stopped and immediately pulled out his gun, aiming it in the direction of the masked killer.
The man shook his head at Dan, which made the trio confused. Then, he gestured from Dan to Matthew.
"What game are you playing, crowface?" Dan taunted.
It took a second for it to register in Matthew's mind. "Dan...I think he wants me...to give him the gun..."
"What?!" Dan and Jessy exclaimed at the same time, then Jessy added. "Matthew, that's ridiculous!" But the man was now nodding, confirming Matthew's theory.
"Forget it. You're not getting this gun away from me." Dan objected.
"Dan, one of your friends is being held hostage right in front of us, and the killer is requesting something. He wants me more than you. Let's not throw her life away."
"You'll be getting yourself in danger, Matthew. I can't allow it." Jessy also objected.
"I want to do that. For Lilly, and for you. You have to trust me."
Jessy didn't reply.
"Dan..."
It was clear that Dan was getting more frustrated with the situation. He didn't want to do it. If he can just land one perfect hit, maybe it will all be over...But he can also lose Lilly forever. He already lost Jessy to someone else. That can't happen again.
Without looking at him, Dan slowly handed the gun to Matthew, while still keeping his pointed glare on the MWAF. He was so focused that he didn't hear the barely audible "thank you" that Matthew uttered.
"Matthew...If something happens to you..." Jessy started, tears leaking out.
"Nothing is going to happen to me, Jessy. I promise."
"I love you." Jessy finished. Matthew looked surprised then he tried to smile. "I love you too."
The killer gestured to Matthew again, who nodded and slowly inched towards the MWAF and Lilly, keeping the gun as close to him as possible. Once he reached him, the killer put his knife in his pocket and took the gun from Matthew, aiming it at Lilly, who whimpered more at the switch of the weapon pointed at her head. Matthew grimaced at the sight.
Jessy and Dan watched intently as the three started leaving the cabin, disappearing into the woods at night. As soon as that happened, they realized they had to do something fast...

I just got off the phone with Jessy. The poor girl...Losing two of your friends in a short span of time, to murder and suicide is...hard.
I wanna feel sad but I'm more resigned. I can't say I was surprised. Hannah already had depression, then her sister is killed off just as she is saved. They didn't get to spend time together.
Jessy is not sad about just that. Richy didn't make it either. Poor guy...Again, not unexpected.
But now you must be wondering how things came to be this way, yet I still lived. Well, I'll gladly explain to you, my lovelies...
