I had figured out that Richy was the Man Without A Face for a while. I mean, come on. Don't you think it was a little too obvious? That murder was so staged, plus it was the only attack where the killer didn't appear AND the "victim" was actually seriously injured.
Anywho, if you're surprised at this revelation, I don't blame you. Not everyone has my great intellect. The group's decision to get me involved to find Hannah was on the spot, but also their greatest mistake.
Turns out in the end, you can't really trust me when I say I don't hold a grudge. Because I do.
After I figured out the culprit, I came up with a plan to get some payback on Lilly for doxxing me without proof. I would use Richy to kill her in exchange for not exposing him. Simple but practical.
You might be wondering how I made Richy submit. It wasn't exactly hard. I just knew what to say, considering I correctly predicted that he's actually easier to break after all his crimes, and so the plan went down as you saw. What you didn't see, however, I will gladly describe.
After we got in deep enough in the woods, we had to act quickly, but seeing Lilly so helpless made it hard not to savor the moment I revealed myself to her.
I would get in details about her death but a gunshot is not much to talk about. Shame. Now I understand why those who torture their victims like to talk about it later. Ditto with Richy. He was so naive in giving me the gun back.
After finishing my work, all I had to do was make myself look battered. Now it looks like I somehow fought back and got away but Lilly didn't, then I can claim that I murdered Richy in self-defense.
And now we're here. As I mentioned earlier, Hannah didn't last very long without her sister. I didn't care much for it. Hannah served her purpose in reaching my goal, and that was it.
You might be wondering, where is Jake?
You really love hackerboy, don't you?
Well, he was useful too. I think he had to disappear because of his pursuers because he didn't contact me again. Probably for the best, given that I murdered his two sisters by killing one and driving the other to end her life.
....
Haha....
You really wish you can tell him, don't you? You wish you can tell everyone, but you're powerless. And even if you were somehow able to, you wouldn't. Why? Because now is the time for healing, not opening old wounds, and when you pick at a scab, all you get is bloody.
I came out on top. Got the girl, reached the goal and got off scout-free.
I really do love Jessy, and I'll look after her the best I can.
It's funny to think you're asking yourself, how can someone look so innocent but is actually not, because that's what Richy wondered as well.
"How did you do this, Matthew? You hid yourself well." He said.
"Same way you did, I suppose." I replied.
Only I am his superior.
And to end my soliloquy, take this from my story:
Never trust someone who reassures you about holding a grudge.
