That Saturday at the concert on their last night in Peru, Alex and Ji-Hoon were behind the barricades. The guys were switching up the set list a bit that night and decided to throw in a couple of old songs for ARMY. Ji-Hoon was filming the fans before the concert had started and during the set changes. There was a slight language barrier when he spoke to them, but that was one thing that never stopped ARMY. No matter where in the world you were, their love for BTS could always be understood.
It was during the final set that the guys were going to perform one of the good ones they hadn't done in a long time. The lights and music came on and the crowd immediately erupted, because everyone knew and loved this song, it was Pied Pieper. The guys formed two circles just like the original performances, except instead of the floor rotating them, they changed positions throughout the song so they could take turns facing all directions.
Alex had to admit, it was one of their sexiest songs to watch them perform to. Each time Yoongi faced her, he would look directly at her with a cocky side grin. As much as she hated to admit how much he affected her, she couldn't help but fall for him up there like the rest of the fans. Standing in the crowd looking up at him, knowing she was his, was a whole new experience.
When the concert was over and everyone was ready to leave, they headed towards the exit. Yoongi had come up behind Alex and put his arm over her shoulders while they walked. "How was it tonight? Could you tell the crowd was excited when we sang Pied Pieper?"
Alex nodded her head, "Oh yeah, heck even I was drawn into a trance." She reached up to move his hair out of his face. "You're all sweaty."
He leaned down to sniff himself, "Yeah, part of the job, I'll take a shower when we get back to the hotel." They had almost reached the doors when Alex suddenly ducked out from under Yoongi's arm and went to walk on the other side of Ji-Hoon. Yoongi gave her a confused look.
When the doors opened some of the fans had found their way to the back to see the guys come out and started yelling and taking pictures. Yoongi suddenly realized why Alex had moved. She didn't want anyone seeing them together and it getting out about them. Part of him was thankful for how considerate she was, while another part of him felt guilty that she had to take those kinds of measures to be with him.
Alex and Ji-Hoon got into an SUV with some of the guards while the guys split up in two other SUV's. On the way back to the hotel Yoongi was quiet while he looked out the window. "What's wrong?" RM was sitting next to him.
"Did you see what Alex did back there?" RM shook his head. "I had my arm around her but she moved to walk on the other side of Ji-Hoon before they opened the doors. She knew fans could be out there and she didn't want them seeing us like that. It just kinda hit me what all she'll have to go through by being with me."
RM nodded his head in understanding, "That's true, but it could be like that for any one of us if we were dating someone. The key is that she understands why it's like that, and doesn't take it personally. Unless you guys get to a point where you come out publicly one day, you'll always have to be careful and aware of what you do when you're together."
Yoongi knew Alex acted like it didn't bother her, but he wondered how long she could put up with it. They would have to talk about it so they were both on the same page, and sooner rather than later.
Later after he had showered, he went down to Alex's room and knocked on the door. The door opened and she was standing there in her pj's brushing her teeth. She waved him in then went into the bathroom to rinse. She came back out and was letting her hair out of its ponytail. "What's up?"
The smell of her shampoo filled his head as she walked by and sat down on the bed. For a second he forgot why he had come to talk to her. "I wanted to talk to you about something." He went and sat on the bed with her. They were sitting Indian style facing each other, "What you did tonight, before we left the stadium, does it bother you? Having to do things like that and hide our relationship?"
Alex knew this conversation was coming, she had actually thought about it for a long time herself. She would need to put his thoughts at ease, she didn't want him constantly worrying every time they had to put themselves on the back burner. "No. I want you to listen to what I'm about to say. I knew before I said yes the other night that I would be walking into your world and leaving parts of mine behind. By that I mean, in a regular relationship I could have walked out that door with you tonight without a moment's hesitation about who would see us on the other side. We won't get to do things like other couples do. I don't have any misconceptions about what it is going to be like being with you. Just like that first time I came over to your house dressed in sweats and a mask, I knew that's what it would be like. Despite it all, I still want to be with you."
Yoongi looked down at his hands as he listened to her. She knew just what to say to ease his mind. He knew it was still early and things may change as time went on, but for now he was going to hold on to the hope that it would all go smoothly. He looked up at her and smiled, "You really are amazing, Lex." Then his face turned serious, "But if there is ever a moment where its getting to be too much or you need to talk about it, tell me. Don't just hide it away."
"Deal." She held out her hand so they could shake on it. He took her hand and shook it right before he pulled her towards him.
"Can I just kiss you? For like a minute? Or Two? Or Three?" His nose was almost touching hers as he spoke. He looked down at her lips then up at her eyes. She nodded her head, and that was all he needed. He held his hand behind her head as their lips met. He needed this, he needed her. She slid her hands into his hair and then linked them behind his neck. He could stay like this with her for hours.
He finally broke the kiss to catch his breath, and she did the same. "I think I better go." She bit her bottom lip and nodded her head. "Please don't do that, or I won't want to leave."
She leaned back and rolled off the bed to grab her phone. She scrolled to one of her apps and pushed play. Suddenly a chorus of church music echoed throughout the room. Yoongi gave her a puzzled look, "What is that?"
Alex laughed, "It's one of my prayer apps I listen to. I figured this would shoot the mood down pretty quick so you wouldn't feel like sticking around."
Yoongi burst out laughing. He got off the bed and walked over to hug her, "You really are too much sometimes." She shrugged her shoulders and gave him a cute smile. "Ok, I'm going." As he opened the door he looked back at her then just shook his head while he laughed and walked out the door.
When he was gone, Alex let out a huge breath. She didn't know how she had the strength to let him leave, but it was getting harder every time. She did one last check to make sure she had packed everything away for their flight tomorrow. She was glad they had their talk tonight, it made her feel good knowing he took the time to worry about her feelings. She crawled into bed and lay their replaying their kiss in her head. She felt shivers run down to her toes. They were going to need to start hanging around the guys more so there was less temptation. If not, she was going to jump him one of these days.
