A Solo Mission (Part 2 of 2)

RECAP OF LAST CHAPTER:

"Huh? Well then I was hoping to be friends with you, Shinobu-san." He stated.

I cringed when he said my name.

Were standing outside the home now, snow began to fall around us. Making it a snowy battlefield.

I signaled my crow to send for help with my hand behind my back. It flew off in another direction.

I need to send a message to headquarters that I need backup.

Then my mind floating to one Pillar in particular.

Tomioka-san.

The cold air was too much for me. I couldn't breathe in it. If I do, it would kill me for sure.

I dodged the demon's ice attacks as I thrusted forward delivering many pokes to his abdomen and chest area.

"My my what an impressive fighting spirit you have there, Shinobu-san!" He called out to me. But he was praising me as well.

"I never catch your name, demon." I loathed to him.

Suddenly, the demon smiled at me as if I caught his interest. Or seemingly to have a desire of me to keep talking to him.

"I am Doma. Upper Moon Two." He said in a serious tone.

I blinked at him. This demon continued to laugh and praise me.

Upper Moon Two.

That's means.... He is closest to Muzan!

All that time he was toying with me. He has not showed his true motives. Doma began to wave his fans around his head.

Blood Demon Art: Frozen Lotus!

Suddenly, Doma's fans swiped around in a forward slashes as he created large ice shards with ice lotuses swarming around us.

I dodged most of the shards.

Argh! Dammit! This ice....I can't breathe....

I collapsed on the ground trying to breathe but that would just make it worse.

I could die out here.

If I die...then I won't be able to get my revenge for my sister.

If die then my fellow Hashiras will be sadden.

If I die then....I will never see or hear Tomioka-san's voice.

~Flashback~

"Tomioka-san! What brings you here? Tomioka?" I asked him.

He stood off to the side of the tree. He doesn't say anything to me. He just bowed to me.

Since the master instructed me to go on this mission. I guess he is here to see me off.

"Well I'm off Tomioka-san! Wish me luck!" I called out to him, heading down the path.

I could feel his gaze on my back as I drew further and further away from the Demon Slayer Headquarters.

"......Kocho......come back alive....."

~Flashback Over~

Veins popped on the side of my head. I leaped up towards Doma.

Insect Breathing: Butterfly Dance, Caprice.

I jabbed his eye, chest, and other weak points. But he absorbed the poison.

As I attacked him, he attacked me as well. Ice shards punctured my side and shoulder but I kept on going trying to my hardest to kill him.

"I like you, Shinobu-san. Let's be friends!!" He spoke laughing.

I couldn't fight anymore...The ice was getting into my lungs.

I fell to the ground not moving.

Doma

The Insect Hashira fell down.

"OH. HO-HO-HO. You poor thing. It looks like you did not accomplished your sister's wish, now did you? I guess I will devour you, Shinobu-san." I grinned happily.

I reached for her body but somebody prevented me from eating the girl.

"Doma.....What an impressive fight you both had. Although, I dislike the thought of fighting a woman. Be that as it may, the girl is a pillar one of the demon slayers. A Hashira in fact. Despite her small stature and quick movements. I admire her bravery against your stupidity. However, Muzan-sama wants the girl....alive." The voice said from the shadows. The footsteps echoed in the snow.

I turned to the voice. After all I was happy to see him. My friend.

"Akaza-san!!! You came!!!" I yelled in happiness.

He rolled his eyes before stepped beside me to pick up the girl.

Akaza gently picked the girl in his arms. I felt this type of pain in my side.

"Let's go, Doma." Akaza-san said as he vanished with Shinobu-san.

I sighed in disappointment. "Another girl that I did not devour. Oh well. Let's leave something for her friends to remember her by." I said vanishing as well.
