"They will come for me. They will come for me." I repeated softly. The room that I was held in was less inviting and needed some color to brighten it up. But I know that this was indeed hell.

The Demon King was lurking around the halls, muttering about how he loathed us. The Demon Slayers. Upper Moon Three though, was okay but he tended to me carefully.

Knock. Knock. Tap. Tap. Knock.

I raised up from my lying position on the floor. I pressed my finger on the ground.

Tap. Tap. Knock. Knock. Tap.

Akaza wanted to use a secret code to let me know that it was him and not the one who killed my big sister or the Demon King.

Upper Moon Three entered my room with a basket of fruit in hand.

" Here you go, Shinobu-san. I hope you slept well?" He asked me.

"We need to leave." I said.

Akaza tilted his head slightly before shaking it.

"No one can leave. Not with him..." He started.

I noticed how his presence changed when the Demon King entered without our knowledge.

"Akaza....finish on what you we're about to say."

The sound of his voice echoed in the room. I shuddered heavily as Akaza seemed to be frozen as well.

"Akaza....go ahead and finish it." He hardens his voice awhile staring at us.

Akaza quickly turned around to Muzan, bowing to him.

"Muzan-sama?!? I was just telling the prisoner that she cannot leave. And I was making sure that our prisoner is alive, sir." Akaza answered.

Akaza kept his eyes on the floor as Muzan came towards me. I stiffened under his gaze. I watched him. I made a move to grab my sword.

"D-don't!!! Don't even think about it, Shinobu-san!!" Akaza shouted in my direction.

My sword contacted the Demon King's neck briefly before Akaza's shout stopped me. I stared at the Demon King as he watched me. Abruptly, he grabbed my wrist, forcing me to let go of my sword.

"Utterly Pathetic." He said. He swung his arm causing his hand to make contact with my face.

I yelped when he struck me.

"Shinobu-san!!!!" Akaza cried out.

I landed against the wall trying to get up and fight.

"Pity. I would advise you to stand down, Hashira." Muzan spat.

His voice made me stop. My body shook as I caught Akaza moving towards me.

Akaza

I immediately went over to her. I bowed to Muzan-sama, hoping he would spare the girl for her reckless actions and for mine as well. For going up against him like this.

"Muzan-sama. Please forgive me for her actions towards you." I said.

His footsteps made it clear that he was still in front of us.

"Very well, Akaza. Do make sure that she knows the rules and the consequences of breaking those rules." He muttered.

"It shall be done." I replied.

"Good." He said as he vanished out of the room.

I sighed in relief. I heard Shinobu-san slowly getting up in a sitting position.

"You're a fool." I barked at her.

At first, she was taken aback but it subsided.
Nothing but silence filled the room.

"I have a mission soon. I won't be back until it is done. Hopefully, I will run into your Hashira friends." I told her.

I knew that she was indeed happy but she was also afraid. Afraid of being alone.

"If so, will you tell them that I am alive and well." She requested.

I rolled my eyes at her request but I nodded in compliance.

"I will."
