Loki
I woke inside my chambers the next morning. I wasn't quite sure if last nights events were real or not, but perhaps just a dream. My right side felt a bit numb and stung a little when I touched it, but nothing severe. I sat up and looked at the time. It was just breaking dawn.
"The views here truly are spectacular."
My head flung in the direction she spoke from. Sitting at my desk, feet upon it, was the girl from last night.
"'Though, they really don't compare to the ones I see upon my awakening every morning," She stated.
"How did you get in here? When did we get in here? Why did you bring me here?" I interrogated.
"Relax, Sir 'I'm gonna rule the kingdom of Asgard and believe no one will catch me for it.'" She stood up and started pacing slowly around the room, taking everything in.
"How did we get here? Why that was a struggle. I had to attach your horse to mine and make sure you did fall off of it. Carrying you here would've been a struggle, even with magic. When did we get here? An hour or so ago. Why did I bring you here?"
She stood at the end of my bed, pressing her hands down into the mattress to let it support her. She gave me a regretful look, with... I couldn't tell if it was hatred or pitty in her eyes. "Because even if you aren't, these people need their king. So until I find Odin, I suppose you're all they have."
She pushed herself up, walking back over to the desk. She made a small glass of what looked to be water appear. But due to the expression on her face when she drank it, it was definitely not that.
"Alright then, shall we?" She gestured towards the door.
"What is this? A plan to kill me?" I looked her up and down, seeing if she still possessed any weapons on her.
"Didn't I just get done talking about how these people need a- you know what, never mind. No, your highness it's not a plan to kill you. You have duties to attend to," with a roll of her eyes she walked towards the door. "Be out in 5 minutes." Then she left.
I sat there for a moment, pondering over what I should. Do I listen to the appeared to be witch? Or did I go on with how things usually were these days?
On a side note, I listened to her. I got dressed and prepared myself for the day. When I exited, she looked the way she had last night when I first saw her. Standing in a midnight blue dress with her hair light brown and braided back into a bun, she looked at me.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
I questioned her statement before realizing that I was myself and not the thought-to-still-be king of Asgard.
I cursed to myself before looking down each end of the hall. I then swiftly changed into my father. The girl then started walking down the hall, so I then followed.
After a few minutes of no words, I finally spoke up.
"So, what are you exactly?"
"What do you mean?" She kept her eyes forward, not sparing me a single glance.
"Like, are you some kind of witch? Or-"
"I already told you, your highness. I am the future queen of the Heavens, Goddess of-"
"Yes, yes, I remember what you said. But I don't believe you."
"And why is that?"
"Why would I? It sounds too make believe to be true."
She sighed and then chuckled to herself, coming to a stop and finally sharing me eye contact. Her eyes were quite unique. I had never seen someone with such dark but bright eyes.
