I woke up when I felt the ground shaking. Shit! It's an earthquake! I hid under the table with my dad. Things started falling. "Dad." I called. A tear streamed down my face.

"It's okay. It'll stop." my dad comforted me. I'm scared of earthquakes. Soon, the shaking stopped. I hugged my dad.

"You're fine. It's okay." my dad said. I took out my phone and texted Chandler. I wrote: 'There was an earthquake. Are you okay?' I waited for a reply.

He texted back: 'Mandy, this is Grayson. Chandler is in the hospital. He got hit by the roof of our house.' I started to cry. 'What hospital?' I texted.

He replied: 'The one next to the school.' I quickly ran to the hospital. I went to the counter. "Hi, I'm here to see Chandler." I said to the lady. "Are you a family member?" she asked. "I'm his girlfriend!" I said a little louder. "He's in room 15." she said.

I checked every door to find room 15. Luckily, I found it. I saw Chandler on the bed with an oxygen mask. Tears started streaming down on my face. "Is he gonna be alright?" I asked Chandler's mother.

"The doctor hasn't come yet." Mrs. Riggs said. "You're his girlfriend, right?" she asked. I nodded. "He keeps telling me all about you." she replied. I smiled. The doctor came. He looked at Mrs. Riggs and said, "I'm sorry to say this but your son is in a coma."

I covered my mouth. I started crying. "When is he gonna wake up?" Mr. Riggs asked. "We don't know. But if he doesn't wake up next month, we're gonna pull the plug." the doctor said. "What do you mean you're gonna pull the plug?" I asked worried. "He will be put to a morgue." he replied.

My heart skipped a beat. "Make sure no one removes the oxygen mask from him." the doctor said as he left. Everyone in the room started crying. "We have no house." I heard Mr. Riggs said. "You don't have a house?" I asked. They nodded. "The roof on our house fell and hit Chandler." Grayson said.

"Maybe you guys could live with me and my dad." I said. "You would do that for us?" Mrs. Riggs asked. I nodded. "Thank you so much." she said as she hugged me. I hugged back. Then we let go.

I sat down on a chair next to the bed. "I wish you're awake." I said. "I really miss you." I added. Seeing Chandler in a coma makes me want to die with him. I truly love Chandler.

I held his hand. "I miss you so much, Chandler. I love you. I really love you. I wish you're awake. I really want to see you alive. Please wake up." I said as more tears slipped out of my eye.

"I miss you so much. Seeing you like this makes me want to die with you. I don't want you dead. I want you alive." I said. Grayson handed me a napkin. I wiped my tears away. "It'll be okay." Grayson comforted me. "No, it won't. Chandler is in a coma." I said.

"We need faith." Grayson said, patting my back. "Please save him." I said in my head.

1 month later...

Claire and Hannah has been bullying me. But I still won't cut. I walked to the hospital and saw Chandler. He's still in a coma. He's not awake. That means the doctors will put him in a morgue. It's been a month and he's still not awake. I gasped when the doctors came in.

"It's time." one of the doctors said. "Please don't." I begged. "Ma'am, it's been one month already. It's time to pull the plug." a doctor with blond hair said. "No!" I said.

Suddenly, Chandler's eyes opened. "Where am I?" he asked. "Chandler!" I said happily. I went to him and kissed his cheek. "You're alive." I said. "But where am I?" he asked. "In the hospital. You were in a coma for a month." I said.
