*MANDY'S POV*
I woke up and saw nurses and doctors all over me. I gasped. "What happened?" i asked the nurse. "You got hit by a truck. Your dad found you and called the hospital." the nurse replied. I nodded.
"Where's my dad?" i asked. "He will come in an hour." the nurse said. I nodded. "Mandy, there's someone here to see you." the doctor said. The door opened. I thought it was my dad but I was wrong. It was my mom.
"Can you give me and Mandy alone time, please?" my mom asked the nurses and doctors. They all nodded and left the room. "H-hi, m-mom." i stuttered.
"What the hell were you thinking?" she asked. "Mom, i ran away. I noticed a truck coming towards me but before I could move, it hit me." i said.
She slapped me. "You shouldn't run, you bitch!" she shouted. She slapped me again. "You don't deserve to live." she said and walked out.
30 minutes later...
My door opened and I saw Chandler holding chocolates. I smiled. "How did you know I was in the hospital?" i asked. "Your dad called me using your phone and said that you are in the hospital. He also told me that it was my fault for making you get hit by a truck." Chandler replied. He continued, "I was in school today. Everyone told me that they saw your cuts and they asked why you cut. I ignored their questions."
He held my hand. "I'm glad you're okay." he said. His phone rang. "Excuse me." he said and got out of my room. Minutes later, he came to me. "I'm sorry, Mandy but I have to go. My mom needs me. Bye." he said. He leaned in and kissed me. I felt butterflies in my tummy. We pulled away. "Oh, I have a question to ask you. Why am I suspended?" he asked. He made a serious look on his face. "I told my dad that you bullied me and that you bullied me because you like me. So he called the school to suspend you." i replied. He nodded. "Well, at least I don't have to deal with algebra." he said and chuckled.
"Bye." he said and left. Minutes later, my dad came. "Hey, dad." i said smiling. "Hey, sweetheart." he said and kissed my forehead.
"I hope you're not mad at me." he said. "I'm a little frustrated but I'll get over it soon." i said. "I'm sorry for yelling at you, Mandy." he apologized. "I'm sorry for running off." i apologized with a sad face.
He hugged me and I hugged back. "I love you, dad." i said. "I love you too, sweetheart." he replied. "When will I get out of this hospital?" i asked. "Tomorrow." he replied.
I sighed. "I'll stay with you the whole day today." he said. I smiled. "Yay, thanks, dad." i said and hugged him. "You're welcome." he said. He hugged back.
