'Only four more classes to go' I think silently to myself. I feel like there's someone controlling my life just for their own amusement. Nathan never said a word to me for years and then suddenly he's following me trying to talk to me? Guys like him never talk to girls like me.

At the end of last period I rush to my locker and am relieved to see there's no one waiting for me but I know that I have to be quick because I know someone will try to get to my locker and talk to me. I grab all the books I need and fit them into my school bag. I shut my locker just in time to hear a voice call my name.

"Hayley! Wait! We need to talk!" Nathan...

I try to decide if it would be better to stay and talk or walk away but I'm too slow and Nathan is right in front of me. I let out a deep breath and face him. "We don't need to talk. We have nothing to talk about!" I say trying to keep my voice steady.

"I'm pretty sure we have a few things to straighten out. Can we go somewhere a little more private to talk?" Nathan says gesturing to the people staring at us as he puts his hand on my arm.

"Let me go." I say quietly shaking his hand off my arm. "I need to met someone now."

"Can we at least talk later sometime?" Nathan asks but I've already walked away towards where I'm supposed to meet Aidan.

When I walk to the main lobby I see Aidan standing there waiting and walk over towards where he's standing. "Hey you ready?" I ask glad to be away from Nathan.

"Ya. I have my car so I can drive." Aidan say. "I mean only if you want to..." He adds the last part his cheeks turning a soft red of embarrassment.

"Sounds good." I smile at him. We walk out to his car and he opens the passanger side door for me. I look at him and smile a little confused as to why he's being so gentlemanly to his study partner but ignore it glad to see that some people know how to treat a girl.

I slip into the car and notice how clean it is and how there's a small air freshener hanging from the mirror. Aidan slips into the drivers seat and starts the car. "This is a nice car." I say simply.

"Thanks. It was a birthday present." He answers softly. "If you want you can change the radio." He says "I also have some CDs" He says pointing to the glove compartment.

"Ok. I'm fine." I say "So where are we going?" I ask as we pull out of the schools lot.

"The Library? The little cafe on front street? My house?" He says casually. I'm a little startled at the last place. Was he implying something? No. That's silly, I'm just over analyzing things like usual.

"You can choose..." I say trying to hide the nerves that I'm feeling. I'm fine. I try to tell myself I'm a big girl and I can make my own decisions.

Aidan turns onto a side street and navigates his way through the curvy streets and pulls up in front of a house, well more like a mansion,  so I think that it's safe to say that this is where he lives. "This is my house." He says plainly. He steps out of his side and I do the same. He walks around the car and up to the front door and I follow him. "My parents are at work and my little brother won't be home for a few more hours." He says as he opens the door. "You hungry? Thirsty?" He asks me.

"Umm... no... I'm fine. Why don't we just finish the project?" I suggest my heart is beating a little faster. I know I'm just being silly but still, I can't help feeling that this is a bad idea.

"Ok. That sounds like a good idea" He says and walks down a hallway and into his bedroom. When he realizes I didn't follow him he sticks his head out the door "You coming?"

"Ya.. I'm... Ya I'm coming sorry." I say and he retreats back to his room. You're fine. It's okay. You're just going to work on your project and then leave. That's it. Aidan is a nice guy. I try to convince myself this is true but i feel a small nagging feeling that says I'm wrong. I walk slowly down the hallway towards his room. When I walk in I see his room is huge. He's sitting on his big king sized bed with his books spread out around him and is looking down at the phone in his hand.

"Nice room..." I say walking towards the bed

He looks up "Oh ya. Thanks. You wanna sit here?" He says talking about the bed.

"Sure." I say hoping I sound confident and not like I'm about to barf or something. I sit down next to him and grab my work from my bag. He puts his hand on mine as I rummage through my bag looking for something to write with. I look up at him. He leans into me so quickly that I'm surprised when his mouth meets mine. I sit there not kissing back and I think about Nathan and Sophia and how Nathan hurt me. I start to kiss back slowly and his arm moves around my waste as he pushes me back against the soft bed.

We kiss like that for a few minutes and then I feel his hand slide up my shirt and I stop. I try to pull away but he's to strong. He's still moving his hand up my shirt and i feel him playing with my bra strap and I use all of my force to push him off me.

"What's wrong?" He asks obviously annoyed that he might not being getting to second base after all.

"This." I say collecting myself. I grab my books and bag and run out of the room and right out the front door. I can't stop the tears that are falling down my face. I try to find my way arounf the twisting streets but only wind up lost. I can only imagine how bad I look right now.

"Hayley?" I hear a deep voice call my name. It's not Aidan. It's Nathan. I turn around and see Nathan. "Hayley!" He yells and I see him run towards me. I don't move I just stand there and let Nathan come and wrap his arms around me. He feels so solid. "It's ok. You're ok." He says calmingly and I can't hold it in anymore. All the tears I've been holding in come out and Nathan just stands patiently with me like I was never mean or nasty towards him.

Maybe I really do love this boy.
