Chapter 2 - The Detectives VS The Warden of Time

Amelia stood there in terror, realizing who this person is. The Warden of Time, Ouro Kronii. She is aware of the differences of the flow between time and the alternate histories that flow within the different timelines. She knows that one decision, can cause an alteration, which in turn, can create a brand new branch, creating a new future. But she didn't expect Kronii to find her.

Kronii: "I demand you to hand over that watch."

Amelia slowly backs off, sweating bullets to who she is looking at. Kronii's glare was scary to her to say the least, but she is aware of what Kronii would do to her if she doesn't give up the watch. But something in her mind is telling her that she might not get far in life without it. 

Amelia: "I... I cannot give you the watch!"

Kronii slowly starts to get annoyed that she won't give her the watch, though she did expect this to happen since she has seen alternate outcomes. 

Kronii: "If you don't hand over the watch, it can cause more damage than your mortal mind can comprehend."

Kronii then summons a blade, yet it could be seen as a hand of a clock. Amelia then pulls out her revolver, pointing it at her.

Amelia: "If I hand this over, I cannot prevent the future that is coming and you know it!"

Kronii slowly walks towards Amelia, not even caring about the revolver being pointed at her. Amelia in response slowly backs up. But in the moment a shot was fired at Kronii, but she saw this coming and blocked it with her blade. When they both looked at the direction which the shot came from, it was William. 

Although he managed to make it in time, he was slightly out of breath. Kronii had a better look at him, but yet something was off, like as if....

William: "You alright Amelia!?"

Amelia: "Could be worse for ware!"

Kronii sighs, knowing what is about to happen next. 

Kronii: "So no matter what the answer is from you, it is going to be a fight?"

William prepares himself, thinking that this threat might be a problem. Though something was off about her to him, his first thought right now is to help Amelia take this threat down. A glow then appears from Kronii, enveloping in a circle, similar to the gears of a clock. 

Kronii: "If that is what you want, then so be it."

Then the circle envelops the whole park, creating a bright blue dome. Amelia could tell that this is bad, but William was trying to understand what supernatural she is. 

Amelia: "Open fire!"

William and Amelia fire at Kronii at the same time, but each shot was blocked by Kronii. It was quick and precise, it could have been seen as a dance. The moment Amelia and William had to reload, Kronii immediately went on the offensive, striking towards Amelia. Amelia's first reaction is to use the watch to dodge, which she manages to skip forward in time to get some distance. The strike struck the concrete, which William saw this as an opportunity to get up close to her. Kronii sees this and she what appeared to be like teleporting, disappears from the their point of view.

Amelia: "Careful Will! She is skipping through time!"

In that moment, she appears behind William. William luckily was able to see this and just dodge out of the way of the swing, which he tries to gut punch her. But she manages to catch the punch with her open hand, and knees him in the stomach, making him cough out saliva. Which she then does a roundhouse kick in the face and sends him flying into a tree, breaking it in the process. Amelia concerned about this immediately fires at her.
