CHAPTER SEVEN

     Ivy walked back up the stairs to the pool table area, seeing that it was just Luther there now. She looked around, sighing as she knew they had already done something stupid. 

     "Where is Allison and Viktor?" she asked, Luther looking over. 

     "Viktor?" Luther asked. Ivy looked at him confused, then realized he didn't know. 

     "Um, Viktor used to be Vanya," she said. "He goes by Viktor now... and also goes by he." 

     "What else did I miss while I was gone?" Luther asked, furrowing his eyebrows. Ivy shrugged at him. 

     "But where did they go?" Ivy asked again, Luther sighing. 

     "Allison is out of control, Viktor's babysitting," he explained. "Just left." 

     "I hate not owning cell phones," Ivy grumbled. "Klaus?" 

     "I don't know. Wandered off," Luther shrugged. "Guess it's just you and me." Ivy looked him up and down, then sighed. 

     "Where were you all day?" she asked, grabbing a pool stick.

      "Um... kidnapped," Luther said. "But not really. They were really nice." 

     "The Sparrows? They were nice to you?" Ivy asked, Luther nodding. 

     "I didn't see you, though. Just the others," Luther said, furrowing his eyebrows. "I think that's who Allison and Viktor went to see." 

     "Yeah, good. I'm trying to stay away from her, I think she hates me," Ivy said, hitting one of the balls in. 

     "Other you?" Luther asked. 

     "Yeah," Ivy nodded. "Dad straight up told her that I was better of the two." 

     "Ouch, that probably did hurt," Luther said.

     "I guess that was lucky, though. She's on our side because of it," Ivy said, shrugging slightly. "So, that's good." 

     "On our side? Like a spy?" Luther asked, Ivy nodding. 

     "Viktor set it up. I was helping Klaus," she said. "What do you mean they were nice to you?" 

     "Well... more hospitable. Ben was very passive aggressive," Luther said with a slight laugh. 

     "I believe that," Ivy smiled. "I guess I'll wait for Viktor and Allison to get back. Want to play?" Luther nodded, grabbing the balls from the pocket. "Wrack em, big guy."

     Sparrow Ivy was sprinting on the treadmill, trying to make the image of Marcus being sucked into that vortex leave her mind. She panted, jumping off as she felt like her legs were getting weaker. She saw the timer said she'd been sprinting for twenty minutes straight, and she sighed. She shut it off, wiping off her sweat as she went to go get changed. 

     "Ivy," Ben said, making her look up at him. "We're meeting with the Umbrella's today, you're coming with." 

     "I am?" she asked. "Why are we meeting with them at all?" 

     "Because they attacked us and Marcus is missing," Ben snapped. "If you didn't notice, he's been gone for two days now." 

     "Right," Ivy nodded. "They probably... kidnapped him." 

     "Exactly, that's why we're meeting with them," Ben said. "As our Number One, you should be on top of this." 

     "I am, I am," Ivy said. "Just let me get dressed and we'll go."
