IF LOOKS COULD KILL, DR BRENNER WOULD BE MORE THAN SIX FEET UNDER THE GROUND.

But it was all an act. Everything was when Vivianne was around him. And like the fool he was, he believe those acts, he believed every single one of them. Chest heaving up and down, sweat dripping down the side of her head, Vivianne gritted her teeth together to not scream foul remarks at Dr Brenner.

They had tased her, over and over. While it was beyond painful, Vivianne knew that the device in her neck couldn't withstand too much energy. If sacrificing her body meant she could have her powers back, then so be it.

She had purposely hurt one of the other orderlies to receive a punishment.

'Have you learnt your lesson, Zero?' Dr Brenner asked, looking down at her.

He enjoyed it; she knew.

He enjoyed being in power, not having to fear her for once.

'Fuck off,' she muttered, out of breath.

Dr Brenner clicked his tongue and nodded towards the two orderlies.

The feeling of someone setting her bones ablaze invaded her mind. Every thought she ever had passed in front of her mind for a split second. Her body jolted with the electricity as she lost control over her body, her muscles spasming unwillingly.

The pain stopped for a split second. Vivianne used that second to catch her own breath, slowly beginning to feel her power come back to her.

Dr Brenner leaned closer to her. 'I'm curious, Zero. What caused you to attack another?'

'Boredom,' Vivianne replied, voice hoarse.

'Boredom?' Dr Brenner repeated in a questioning voice.

She giggled, a voice from the heavens. 'Yes, boredom.'

'You gouged her eye out with a pen!' Dr Brenner's voice grew louder as he became more and more impatient.

A pair of innocent eyes looked into his. 'And I could do so much worse.'

Dr Brenner only exhaled a sigh and gestured for them to continue.

The pain came soon after, the feeling of a million needles jabbing into her skin at the same time.

'I know you're used to getting your way, Vivianne. But not here,' Dr Brenner spoke. 'This is my place and here you follow my rules.'

She felt the electricity run through her body one last time, frying the device in her neck. The familiar feeling of power running through her veins caused her lips to curl into a smile.

With ease, she was able to get out of the restraints, the two other orderlies getting pushed to the floor with a single command in her mind. Their bodies landed with a thud before the sound of bones cracking echoed throughout the room.
